In lowball games like Stud8, the 5,4,3,2,A is known as a wheel, and the 5-high straight flush is a "steel wheel"
Magnificent hand!

5-Card Funzies

I drew two here, partly to disguise the hand, and partly because vs a player drawing 3, often pairing any of the kept cards can win.
The first surprise is that he's drawing 2 as well, so maybe two pair, maybe trips, or maybe even keeping a pair + kicker

The result was a wee bit of a surprise...

Suckout FTW

4 left on the FT, and BTN has been using his huge stack to run over everyone
I turn the FD and figured if I was going to win the hand (and stay alive) it would be hitting a spade.

Beating a full house

It's always nice to flop quads. It happened me 3 times today, but only this one got paid. It's always a pleasure to build a 301bb pot with the nuts :f_cool::f_cool:

Lovely River #2!

The turn wasn't bad either...

In this hand, villain is playing a hand that normally I would fold, since there is no way it can ever draw to the nuts -- well maybe quad 7s
When the board pairs OTT, he bets pot, even though his hand went from the current nuts to a 2-outer.
Notice that OTF, even though he has the nut straight, he only has 27% equity, since he can't draw to the nut low -- and I have the current nut low.

The Barry Greenstein cements his loss -- yet he goes all in. Niiicccceeee

If you're not sure, you need the lowest unpaired hand containing all 4 suits -- and A is always low...

A "rolled up" hand in stud is when you get dealt trips in the first 3 cards
A rolled up hand is rare enough, but to hit quads on 4th street was superb!

Oh, and I thought you were making the connection between this kind of thinking and this hand where you maybe dreaded in the back of your head that you would get nothing but a walk and it ended up really happening, the way thinking about an itch would make an itch happen.

Looks like I was thinking to deep into this. Though honestly, I subconsciously use this kind of thinking all the time, despite knowing that it's irrational.

The revelation that this was just a randomly inserted nonsense comment actually confuses me even more, though, to be honest.
