As long as it´s you and not Villain
In PLO hi I lost a couple of those hands, against runner runner and gutshot str8s and whatever lucky miracle card saved Villains hand
Saturday is MTT-day!
Not sure about when I play what, but one thing I know already for sure: Saturday is MTT-day! I going to keep my MTT-Saturdays because Saturday is a very convenient day for MTTs. I have time and I don´t have to get up early the next day (I don´t work on weekends).
My regular readers know, that Harrier and I used to play our "Troll Freeroll" (actually it was the No Limit Holdem German Freeroll on Titan Poker), which is not available anymore. Titan Poker ceased its actions in Germany. I always used to enjoy a nice MTT evening on Saturdays which I decided to keep up, even though there´s no more "Troll Freeroll".
Saturday will stay reserved for MTTs but as there´s no more Holdem, and PartyPoker is VERY "PLO-friendly", it will be a PLO-/PLO8-tournament day now. ♠_biggrin:♠_thumbsup:♠_thumbsup:
Yo, check out Dylan Weisman on youtube. Especially the two of ALLin PAV's PLO MTT coachings! ![]()
And here's my schedule for when I decide to play - Stars, Party and GG (I think Germany is 1 hour behind Bulgaria):

Nsavov, I think we will meet at the tables on Party. Plan to play the 18:30 (here 17:30 CET) PLO too, and maybe, if I can finish work earlier, even the 14:00 CET (here). ♠_biggrin:
Was already preparing to post "Poo Boy" here...
..or even spit in the blog, but my todays session turned out not to be as poo as I expected. Played:
2.20 $ PLO Bounty Hunter
0,22 $ PLO Bounty Hunter
0,55 $ PLO Deepstack
2.20 $ PLO8 Deepstack
2.20 $ PLO Bounty Hunter: busto with double suited acies (all in pre)
0,55 PLO Deepstack: totally card dead, busto shy before ITM
2.20 $ PLO8 Deepstack: right at the beginning a huge overfull vs quads cooler, then card-dead, busto with an ss double pair (as desperate shorty, all in pre)
Could make it to the FT in the 0,22 $ Bounty Hunter (man, couldn´t that be the 2.20 $ ???).
And the session saver was actually my little water-testing on PLO5 CG ♠_ugly: Before I started my first MTT, I thought, I could test the water at PLO5 on Party. Took almost a whole stack there (Villain had forgotten to re-fill his stack before) and with my little FT and a 5th place in the 0,22 $ PLO Bounty Hunter, finished exactly break-even with -0,05 € ![]()
Not big poo but not exciting either ♠_confused:
Delicious Chinese food
Almost forgot to post the delicious foods Harrier and I had on Friday at the Chinese "all you can eat" buffet, as the motto of our live troll challenge was China.
First, we had a sweet and spicy soup (I think it was some "Chinese goulash soup"?)
Harrier got some fried hors d oevres (which I unfortunately cannot eat due to celiac disease):
So, I just directly went for the meat (and some veggies):
Harrier took also rice:
Even though rice is Paleo, I went back to low carb after the season. During off-season I use to follow a Paleo low carb diet. ♠_biggrin:
Cash(-game) and a horse race!
Prim is back at the CG tables also! I was happy to play some CG on Partypoker today. Normally I used to play 2 hours, couldn´t make the 2 full hours, but almost.
Left the tables when I got tired about about 1 hour 45 minutes. Cash game felt natural to me. I felt confident, even though I haven´t played for quite a while. Started with PLO5 and then after about 15 Minutes, already felt confident enough to hit the PLO10 tables. What surprised me is that I could bluff catch very well a couple of times and range definition went much better than I thought! The basic stuff still was routine. Nevertheless, of course I have to do some more reading and studying. But for the beginning: not bad! I am happy with my today´s play.
I am also happy with the result: a bit more than one PLO10 stack up (in $), which is about +8€.
But this is not it for today, yet! There will be a HORSE race! How will Prim do with more than four cards?
Some good play and some not so good play
I played a little CG-session on Stars and Party, PLO5 and PLO10. The most exciting hand I got was top set - which lost vs a naked flush draw
The rest were two bad calls (oh no!
), which fortunately didn´t cost me that much, two nice bluffs (yay!
), two good bluff catchings ♠_cool: and a couple of good folds, while I could fold the second best hand just at the right time and save my money.
Once I played the underfull badly, but it was not that bad as it used to be, did not overplay it, kept the pot small and eventually, I could find the right fold, but gotta check, how to play such a hand, I´m sure I still did it wrong.
And the rest went card-dead, barely hitting a flop (but firing good bluffs from time to time). Couldn´t take a whole stack, no, lost one on PLO5 with my top set, and couldn´t make a really strong hand. So, no surprise, this time it´s 1,5 PLO5-stacks down (break-even on PLO10), around -7€.
Nothing I could do ...
Studied some Omaha theory yesterday in the evening and today, I confidently hit the tables. And was waiting ...... and waiting ..... and waiting ..... patiently. But all I had today was a big black hole: crap starting hands and totally missed flops. All I could do is folding and minimizing losses. Could take small pots from time to time but mostly I had to fold my hand on flop because I totally had missed it (most pots were multiway). A couple of nice bluffs in position, but many many worst-case flops. Practiced range definition and all I can say is that I´m really proud of my patience: no overplaying marginal hands, no tilting, no gambling because it was boring, no urge just to play at least some hand.
All I could do is avoiding expensive mistakes which I did. Anyways a 1 stack down, around -8 €, my money went just into a big black hole of totally missed boards.
Sometimes all you can do is minimize the losses. You did that today, so yes, you can be proud of your performance. ![]()
Sessions will come where the cards and boards will come your way, and then there will be winnings to maximize instead.
And in the end, you will have some nice results to look at.
Nice job staying cool today, now just keep going.
So, what´s going on with four cards?
Not much! Played a little CG, some PLO5, some PLO10, while I could take at least one stack at PLO5. With this little stack, I had won my buy-in for the todays Troll Challenge in 5-card-draw. Could win the todays Troll Challenge by knocking out 1 Villain, the rest of my session was going pretty boring though. Well, just totally missed flops and busted draws. Kept them cheap, that is why altogether I came out break-evenish (+/- 1€) .
A little nightmare
Yes, that was my yesterdays MTT session. It was not even like suck out after suck out of so but I think it´s terrible when you´re totally card-dead, miss 99 % of the flops or have to fold on turn/river because your hand is certainly beaten (board pairs on river in a multiway-pot f.e.). I wasn´t playing that well either. I was annoyed and went into nit-mode. Just didn´t feel like playing a hand anymore.
On Stars I played the 2.20 $ Omaha hi PKO, which went TOTALLY, absolutely card-dead. Starting hands were not exactly the right ones to go with
and those which were playable completely missed the flop, most pots were multiway. Blinded down to a shorty, a str8 saved my tournament life for once but the rest was then again just terrible. Jammed JJ22ds which of course totally missed and out I was.
On Party I played the 2.20 $ The Forge which is a PLO hi PKO tournament went exactly like the PKO on Stars. Card-dead! Was then happy to FINALLY pick up AATJss, but lost vs 7758ss (Villain found the 7 to his set on the flop). No help for me.
Decided to play also the 2.20 $ PLO8 Deepstack on Party, where I at least could make an ITM, but placed only 17th. So, min-cash.
The 1.10 $ PLO8 Deepstack on Party started promising but the rest went also card-dead and couldn´t make it ITM.
Same with the 0,55 $ PLO8 Bounty Hunter on Party: card-dead.
But the real nightmare was in fact a bad migraine attack which hit me like truck while I was playing. In CG I would have immediately closed the tables and stopped the session but in MTT this is not possible. So, during the break I took an Ibuprofen but takes some time until the medicine unfold its effect. I was almost glad when I busted out of my last MTT (the 1.10 $ PLO8 Deepstack), so I could lay down and take a rest.
Today, I definitely feel better and I think I will be fit enough to be turned into HORSE salami in todays Troll Challenge.
Flu or COVID?
PCR test is running. It´s not so bad but not nice either. After my severe "migraine" attack I felt horribly tired on Monday, then came the joint pains. Okay, I knew: infection! Yesterday came the sneezing and coughing but not so bad. So, today, I decided to go to the doctor and get a COVID-PCR-test. Had to do it outside, could not go inside for the case it´s COVID. So, I stood outside, not exactly looking great while other patients were looking at me like I had the plague.

And where the f*@!# is the conventional inactivated vaccine against COVID?!! Takes forever! They should move their bum bums!

Get well soon!
The stigmatization seems strange - after almost two years. But myself feels unconfortable too when I'm passing a test center. Eventhough I know that only a few percent of daily tests are positive...
Your requested vaccination will be approved a day after they notice that tourists from china are missing because their certificate prohibits them from entering and staying.
But first get well and for the case it's the flue try chicken soup on spaetzle!
Thank you Rhodriguez!
And seems like you´re joining the Banhauser-club?
Chicken soup with "Spätzle"? EEEEW!
Stay positive, test negative!
So, got the results: Covid-negative! So, it´s NOT Covid, but just seasonal flu. ♠_biggrin:
Anyways, no work, no grinding, no sports, no nothing but bed, soup and warm tea.
