Partypoker closed my account for no reason!

Can´t believe it! What´s wrong with those guys?! Really. I had verified my account long time ago. The only reason I can think of is that on the credit card I used, both of my last names (birth name and married name) are written, while otherwise on my passport I have only my married name.

Unbelievable! They asked me to send in all the documents again!

Okay, so I sent them now all my documents per mail and let´s hope it won´t be too complicated. :facepalm::rage: Actually, I have no idea what their problem is. AGAIN!

Let's wait and see... I guess some security peon was low on caffeine yet again.

Hopefully, this can be resolved soon. If not, there's always Pokerstars.

Lately, dealing with support is a pain in the ass. It's like they can't understand basic English. Talking about stars and gg. Hopefully party support is easier to deal with.

They just had forgotten to close my old account, which back then, was not possible to verify. This old account should have been closed long time ago. Anyway, now my account is open again.

They could have become rather stinky about having two accounts.

I suspect that the steep decline in the quality of customer service is due to poker providers cutting back on staff.

That could be. But I sent them all my documents quickly, I had no idea why they asked for them. After everything was clarified they wrote, why they had closed my account and I was surprised because that old account should have been deleted long time ago. That was the account I could not verify and asked them to delete, so I made a new one and had no idea that this old account still existed. But they deleted it now.

"Overcooked" live - the house dragon takes over!

Yesterday, had a very funny and awesome live meet up with Harrier. And of course we had our super funny live Troll Challenges. As regular readers of our blogs know, we both love gaming! And "Overcooked" is a game we both really enjoy.

Actually, the plan was that Harrier cooks for me. We planned to have some original Burger King chili cheese and Big Kings, I brought along my own glutenfree bread and the last green chili which grew in my indoor garden. We went to the butchers shop to buy the meat and then got started. As cooking is also in real life one of my beloved hobbies (not only in gaming), I instinctively decided that I could "help" Harrier a bit. Well, my "help" turned into a take-over without thinking and just from my good old habits at home (I do the cooking at home!).

So, Harriers "cooking for Prim" turned into a "Prim takes over the kitchen" and into a spontaneous "Overcooked" live edition, featuring Harrier und Prim :mdr:. As I took over the preparation of the patties and the chili cheese sauce, I shouted commands to Harrier what he should do next and oopsie! Harrier suddenly had a house dragon in his kitchen :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::mdr::mdr::mdr::mdr:

Yes, it was quite the experience - but fun, for both of us. And we both liked the burgers.

I'm just glad that Prim is not trying to take over the kitchen when we're going to a restaurant together...

Week 3 recap

Okay, week 3 was a bit of a "lazy" poker week, I took a bit more time for sports, family and friends (f.e. my live meet up with Harrier last Friday). Played only Monday to Wednesday, at the weekend it was time for household chores and some other activities, so that I only played the Troll Challenges on Saturday and Sunday. Vacations are near (one more week work this year!) and I´m looking forward to them because I notice that I´m a bit exhausted.

Looking forward for our "traditional" two "no sports"-weeks (Homer and I always take a 2 week break from sports during the last two weeks of December). Regeneration is needed but there will be more time for poker.

So, not so much happened during week 3 of the BR-challenge:

BR last week: 392,63 €
BR now: 393,12€
CG-hands played: about 350 (rough estimate)
MTTs: 0
Result: +0,49 € (break even)

My PLO babysitter

After only small winnings in CG this week (and two days flu), Baby Peach decided to take care of our BR and to play PLO-MTTs!!! She had enough of those tiny little profits at the tables and wanted to win something decent! And she did it! TWO FINAL TABLES and an ITM!

When too much is too much ....

Started early today with my session. First, started with a mini-CG session and 1 stack up. Nice! Could pay with it my MTT buy-ins.

Could only make one FT in the PLO8 Classic, 5th place for me, the rest went pretty much card dead. Busto with the nutstr8 from the 2.20 $ PLO Bounty Hunter vs two pair (rivered full), with top Set from the 0,22 $ PLO Bounty Hunter vs runner-runner-str8, with AAK3ds (jam pre), flop was promising (nutflush draw, backdoor-nutflush-draw, inside str8 draw), instead one Villain rivered two pair

After 4 hours of playing I got terribly tired and shouldn´t have registered to the 2.20 $ PLO8 Bounty Hunter and the 0,55 $ PLO Deepstack. Oversaw a paired board with the nutflush and ...... guess what? In the PLO8 Bounty Hunter, I had the "nut str8" .... at least in my imagination. :facepalm::rage: Those were the bloopers of the day! :facepalm::f_ugly:

This showed me clearly when too much is too much!

CG and the 0,55 $ PLO8 Classic were the "session savers", so that I could end up break-evenish (+/- 1€).

Week 4 recap

This week there were two days of CG, Monday and Tuesday, on Wednesday I fell a bit ill and took a break. The weekends are reserved for MTTs and on Friday I hit the MTT tables with very nice success: two final tables, one in PLO and one in PLO8. Yesterday, I started very enthusiastically my MTT grinding and wanted to play as many MTTs as possible. After 4 hours I got terribly tired and made super stupid mistakes. Played also a little CG and could use the winning (PLO5: 1 stack up) for tournament buy-ins. There was at least one final table, so that I could end up break-evenish with about -1€ or so.

What did I learn this week?

*Quality before quantity!!!
*I must adjust my ranges to people who really have no clue ("good customers" as Kyyberi says :f_biggrin::f_ugly: )
*Bluff a bit less - again: quality before quantity!
*I have to adjust better to calling stations and maniac fishes (this means: mainly value-betting, rarely bluffing, less c-bets with marginal hands, etc.)
*I have to adjust my ranges to multi-way pots, almost every pot in CG and in MTT is multiway (at least 2 callers of my pre-flop raises)
*So, this means: tighten up!
*Thin value bets are profitable in some situations (see above: calling-stations who call you down with a gutshot f.e.)
*The variance in PLO can be brutal and there can be VERY long card-dead phases
*There are many Villains who make unprofitable calls with (marginal or bad) draws
*There are many Villains who make terribly unprofitable calls with bad or marginal hands pre
*This means that variance becomes even bigger
*Must improve my play on turn and river!

Week 4 result

BR last week: 393,12€
CG hands: about 300 (rough estimate)
MTTs: 12
Current BR: 414,27€
Result: +21,15 €

Better than nothing....?

I´m on vacation now and Homer and I are also having our "traditional" recovery-weeks, which means: No sports during the last two weeks of December. This is the darkest time with the shortest day, one doesn´t feel like being active when the days are dark, no sunshine and the nights are long. This is why we always use those week for recovery and a break from sports. This means: More time for poker! Yaaay!

Started today with a little CG-session PLO5, of which I came out with a mini-winning, 1 stack up. Used that stack for tournament buy-ins and played:

0,55 $ PLO8 Classic: Final table 6th place
2.20 $ PLO Bounty Hunter: Min-cash, 17th place, 1 KO
1.10 $ PLO8 Bounty Hunter, had to take a 2nd bullet (totally misplayed a hand): Min-cash 16th place, 2 KOes

2.20 $ The Forge: card-dead, busted with AAxx vs QQKK, river: Q
1.10 $ PLO8 Deepstack: nothing worked out, card-dead, got sucked out on turn by 1-outer, and then got rivered with top 2 pair (by Villain who called down with middle pair and no draw)
0,55 $ PLo Bounty Hunter: AAJ9ss lost vs AT72r, flop: TTx

Altogether only a tiny mini profit. :f_ugly::f_ugly:

Not happy with this but could have been worse. Better than nothing, right?

As I have time now and don´t have to get up early tomorrow, I decided (after doing household chores) to have a nice MTT evening. Baby Peach had a nice afernoon nap, so she was ready to hit the tables. We played:
