i guess its fine, the bigger gaps make me question it a little and figured why not ask ^^ i don't think it can be a big blunder, but would you say its close-ish or more like - why would you even ask ?
postflop should be no brainer but if someone sees a misplay here ofc interested in the perspective.

Clear open fold preflop with so bad connectivity. In general you want to use idea of gaps amount in ranking hands. When we have more than 2 gaps hand is often very bad. There are hands like A876 or A875 with very good connectivity with side cards that are ok. If one card is total dangler so e.g. AJ96 we dont really want to play hand as any ss combo from EP. If we have three broadway and nut suit like AJT6 its always open but with non nut suit not really.

Postflop is fine as we have nut fd supporting low straight. With only A4 I would just call flop. Villain play is absurdly bad and of course if people are playing like this we can widen our preflop range somewhat. Still I would fold AJ74ss though.

ye, i think i get blinded by having the suited Ace here, against a 3bet i would easily give this up unless IP maybe, depending on opponent.
But i am glad i asked, the gaps indeed felt like taking too much away from the hand potentially.
What would you say if me move to HJ?
From CO i can't see myself folding this unless there is absolute crazy waiting behind that will 3bet waaay too much.
HJ i'd still think sitting in a quite tight round (all 25vpip or smaller) blocking AA this is open doesn't feel soo horrible.
With more station like opponents or very agressive 3betters this changes again of course.

by the way - FAT GRATZ on completing your challange!!!

Normally this is open from CO. Double suited would make it open from all positions.

I wouldn't even talk about gaps, as gap often refers to a rundown of 3 or 4 cards. In that hand you don't have a rundown, just huge holes everywhere. :)

ok- glad that at least my confidence that opening from CO is ok, isn't a blunder ^^
my takeaway from hj would be, that with nits behind i could probably still open, with more agressive/lose players behind better to fold.
And as played just openfold.
