That's right, it was the first hand. CO caught on, however, and played the correct game starting with the next hand. He even had a chip lead on the bubble for a while, but ended up finishing 3rd (it was a 6-man SNG).

I had said I would not play so deep, but so many at this table were playing small stacks, and folding to aggression I kept the big stack. Then this

I would imagine it works such that bad beat jackpot only accounts first run. Otherwise EV of running it more would obviously get somewhat higher and that would not make any sense. But with GG who knows
