I think we've all been there... you need a tupperware container, but you simply cannot find the correct lid for it...
It's what happened to me yesterday too, right as I was about to leave for work, and therefore pressed for time. "That does it!", I thought, and went to clear my entire tupperware drawer today (I think Vorpal once called a similar cupboard at his home "plastic hell").
Here's the whole mess. Some of those are relics from the times when my parents lived here. Others are actually gifts from our lovely Primrose, who brought me some nice treats and then graciously allowed me to keep the tupperware that carried them. ![]()

I went through it piece by piece, finding the correct lid for each container, and deciding which ones I want to keep. Any container or lid which wouldn't find a companion, or which I decided won't have much use anymore in my kitchen, shall be sent to the dreaded Basement of Things I Probably Won't Ever Use Anymore, But Don't Want to Throw Away Either.
Here are the ones that didn't make the cut: Lids missing containers, containers missing lids, and some relics which have been replaced by other vessels, or never saw much use in the first place.

The rest now had enough space to fit in my drawer again, with their proper lids attached. I realize that this is not an economic way to store them, but stuffing them in there efficiently with the lids removed, and bigger containers holding smaller ones like a Matryoshka doll, leads to exactly the problems I described above, where you just can't find the correct lid - only the ones that are a tiny bit too small or too big.
With all those other vessels removed, though, they all fit in there quite nicely, ready to be used at any moment. ![]()

Do people not care about this thread anymore?
Well, they better don't care, or else it would be self-defeating.
My next-door neighbors, who have some Turkish roots, made some lahmacuns the other day, and graciously gave some to us. ![]()
The authentic, crispy ones, not the wraps that are commonly sold as street food in kebab stores.

It's No Meat Tuesday, and I still had some "mussgo" mushroom gravy left. The optimal move, of course, was to get some vegan schnitzels and turn them into awesome jägerschnitzels. ![]()

I could have gotten vegan cordon bleu instead, which would have been the same price too... but nah, vegan schnitzel is bad enough already without vegan cheese and ham substitutes. ![]()
With that nice mushroom gravy, though, it was quite tasty.
I stopped using those "pseudo-meat" products on Veggie Tuesdays, instead, I´m eating CHEESE! So, guess Veggie Tuesday becomes my new CHEESE-DAY! :f_ugly::f_biggrin: Today, I had "Spaghetti-pumpkin" with Antipasti (egg plant, zucchini, tomatoes, garlic, olive oil) and lots of cheese.
