Dozens of "death penalties"
Yes, I also had to impose about 30 death penalties during gardening summer season! I had a beautiful big chili plant which was completely destroyed and killed by grubs! I had no choice but dig deep and search for them. The sentence for killing my beloved plant was death by being eaten!
Not by me of course, but by the birds! I fed them to the birds!!!
Troll on vacation
Phew! Finally! After this harsh and busy summer it´s about time for 1) fall and finally rain and 2) vacation. From about 28-30°C at the beginning of September, we´re now down at about 15-18°C! What a wonderful refreshment! 
Homer and I are now on vacation for 2 weeks and here, in Northern Germany, it´s about 15°C as well. Perfect! We´re going to do a lot of sports of course, but this time the sports will be not so intense anymore. We´re going on some nice and easy bicycle tours and tennis will be mostly technique lessons. So, we won´t strain our bodys as brutally as in summer. Instead, we´re going to have some nice and healthy work-outs and last but not least: It´s sauna season!!! Finally! This will do good to our bodies and our souls!

We started our vacation with a nice bike tour yesterday. Well, almost. Already on the first meters Homers said "Oh, wait a minute". There was a thin, small and dry twig on the front tire of his bicycle which he had to remove. A couple of meter later then, I heard "Oh sh*t!". 
This small, thin little twig had thorns and the front tire of Homers bike was now completely flat! Like a pancake!
Okay, back to the house! By repairing the tire we found out that this teeny tiny twig had punctured the tire about three times!! Three holes could be found (and the leaks repaired). So, we started our vacation with a flat tire. This time it was not me, but Homer.

I asked elsewhere if you carried a tube or repaired the leaks — but here it appears you patched the leaks.
We recently had a sidewall puncture in our car — but our breakdown insurance covered the cost of a new tire, as well as installing it. (yay!)
Like most modern cars, ours does not have a spare. We recently took a 600km trip and about 100km in, I thought, "I sure hope I don't get a flat now!" Before our next long trip, I'll get a spare and keep it in the garage for long trips. The problem with *that* strategy is that when the tires on the car are worn down, if you use the spare, it has now a different external circumference, and will mess with the computerized traction management.

Praised for topspin, scolded for slice
Same story as every year guys: When it comes to tennis bootcamp and we practice the different techniques, I very often suck at slices. The reason for that is that I do not play them often, I use to slice when I´m in big trouble but that´s it. Already on the second day of our little tennis bootcamp, we practiced the slice.
Without being in trouble, it´s pretty hard for me to do that, as I hardly ever play it and my standard is topspin. ♠_thumbsup: Otherwise, I do only the slice serve as second serve.
So, as I play double handed backhand and topspin, the one handed slice is always very unusual for my muscles and nervous system :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly:

Those come just easier to me, on fore- and backhand. However, it´s not bad to have something different in your repertoire, so, I will practice slices a bit more this winter. And only this week left until it´s definitely time for more rest and of course more poker again! ♠_smile: Really looking forward to it!

As this is not a tennis blog ...
..it´s now time to think about my future poker plans. On Saturday, we will travel home and from next week on, there will be WAY less tennis. Goodbye, tennis season, Hello, poker season! 
I don´t have enough time for a real BR challenge, unfortunately, but I decided to do my own little poker challenges. My BR is still there, didn´t cash out any money, and the question is now, am I going to build a BR or am I going to do some little monthly challenges or so?
I have decided that I return to the CG tables after my vacations, this gives me a lot of time flexibility. Further, my PLO and PLO8-MTT weekend grinds will finally continue. My sports schedule will be MUCH easier and WAY more flexible than in spring and summer. There will be tennis practice about twice per week, the rest will be endurance sports and fitness, so: sports which I can do basically anytime I want, no fixed schedules. I use to do the endurance sports during my lunch breaks.
The question remains, what those challenges are going to be? I´m thinking about small and monthly challenges. Like just taking 50 € per month and see how much profit I can make and just post my monthly profit. Let´s see .... I´m open for new ideas.
..and the Grand Final
Of course there´s no tennis without the "traditional and legendary" game "cruel pig, poor pig" :f_biggrin::f_ugly:. We ended the outdoor-season with a lot of fun! The Grand Final of this years outdoor-season was FUN FUN FUN with the "cruel pig" and the "poor pig". 
♠_biggrin: Despite Homers injuries (achillodynia, elbow, arm) he still played very well, while an exhausted Prim was mostly the "poor pig". Homer had no mercy, neither had our coach. 
Exhaustion from the whole season showed! Didn´t play my A-tennis anymore, but that didn´t matter, had big fun anyway as the "poor pig".
Well then, no sports this weekend of course and next week the indoor-season starts already!
And someone is really eager to play poker:

..and the first little final table
Well, I return to the tables after a pretty long time. That´s why I decided to take it slowly and start carefully. Just to get into it again. Decided to play the 0,22 $ PLO Bounty Hunter, the 0,55 $ PLO Classic and a little 0,22 $ PLO8 Classic on PartyPoker. It´s not suprising that I had a rough start. Of course I didn´t play really well, so much I have to re-learn (that´s why I play only cheap little tournaments and will start with PLO2). Anyways, just wanted to give my best at the tables and get some routine again, get used to the four cards and "da pot". :f_biggrin::f_ugly:
Remembered a lot of things, but of course you cannot expect to play great PLO after such a long absence from the tables, right? In the PLO8 Classic I almost made it ITM, but well.... there they are: the bad calls! 
Busted shy before ITM, but of course, we cannot expect miracles. In the 0,22 $ PLO Bounty Hunter I didn´t hit anything, so it was very clear that I soon became short stack and busted with my emergency all in.
But what I would have never expected was my result in the 0,55 $ PLO Classic. Rough start, as I said, already early on, playing very tight and soon becoming a short stack. Nevertheless, I kept being patient and expected nothing. Just shy before ITM, I could double up with acies, by hitting a set AAA and Villain not making his draw. There were three ultra-shorties behind me, so I could secure at least an ITM and an FT. There, I managed to double up again with a set of QQQ and laddering up until I found myself heads-up. That was really David vs Goliath, me, shortie against the big stack, unfortunately QQ9Tds didn´t make it vs Q45xr (Villain hit two pair).
So, my first session after my long absence from the tables started really pretty with a nice 2nd place.
Oh crap! Didn´t play poker in May, when I had my nasty stomach flu! How many FTs would I have made then?
Violence is no solution!
Okay, can´t report a successful poker weekend so far. Yesterday, I played "my" usual MTTs, the 2.20 $ PLO Bounty Hunter, the 2.20 $ The Forge, 2.20 $ PLO8 deepstack, a little 0,22 $ PLO Bounty Hunter and the 1.10 $ PLO8 deepstack on Party Poker. Could only make a 3rd place in the little 0,22 $ PLO Bounty Hunter, the rest were pretty unlucky exits (Yes, I still remember the equities!), like set vs naked str8 draw, my full house getting rivered or loosing set vs gutshot. Not a great start for a nice poker weekend, but anyway. That´s the way it is.
Today, I just tried out some fun games with Harrier and picked up more than four cards. We played 5 card draw SnGs, played them the first time, the reason why I´m trying them out is that I´m still looking for a nice side-variant to play and 5CD could be a possible candidate. The first lesson I learnt is: Violence is no solution! Well, not against Harrier. :f_ugly::f_ugly: Unfortunately couldn´t "sell" him the nice story of two pairs, trips or quads and Harrier cannot fold acies up :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly: Well okay, but it was worth a try, wasn´t it? :f_biggrin::f_ugly: I think I bluffed nicely, but Harrier begs to differ I guess.

If you're going to bluff that way, you could at least make it a proper snow and stand pat... but even then, I wouldn't have folded against you there, because I know my cute puppy.
Still, I think you did pretty well in those SNGs.Shouldn't be too long until your first cashes there, I believe.
Well, we will see about those "cashes", at least it was a very nice change. Main goal is get back my motivation. I still play passionless and not so well focussed.
Schedule confusion!
I still have a bit confusion with making my regular poker schedule, because actually, my plan was to play on Fridays. Well, what happened? This winter-season we can have only tennis practice with our coach on Friday evenings. Tennis will be probably Mondays and Fridays, occasionally also on Tuesdays, this means, I have Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday left for poker. On Thursday during lunch break, and on Sunday endurance sports is scheduled.
At least Saturday evening I have always fixed for poker, unless during the competition season. So, at least I can fix Thursday and Saturday for poker. At least something.
Saturday evening grind
So, at least Saturday is fixed for a nice poker evening. Played the 2.20 $ PLO8 deepstack and the 1.10 $ PLO8 deepstack on Party, on Stars I decided to play the 2.20 $ PLO-PKO and a litte 5 card draw SnG with Harrier. In the 2.20 $ PLO8 deepstack I was fighting for survival for about 2 hours, but evantually couldn´t get ITM. Was totally card-dead in the PLO-PKO, every flop completely missed, this gave me a pretty early bust out. In the 1.10 $ PLO8 deepstack I struggled but thanks to an emergency double up shy before the bubble I somehow fought myself ITM. Could take a 12th place out of 123 players which was fine.
Still struggling a bit to find more time for poker and I´m glad that at least I can fix Saturday evenings in my poker schedule.
Time for friends and family
Well, after the tennis season come the birthday parties. :f_ugly::f_biggrin: The weather here is still wonderful and I still play tennis at least 3x per week, but now the competitions are over and I decided to become a "weekend-warrior" in poker. Well, yes: after all birthday parties and stuff are over! :f_biggrin::f_ugly: At the moment, we are invited to birthdays parties at the weekend, so it´s time for friends and family (off the tennis court!). Today, there is another birthday party we are invited to, so again: no poker today. 
Same was last weekend: birthday party and family gathering, so poker was again out of question. So, I have to postpone my return to the tables again.
But at least, my off-season schedule is clear now: Tennis will be Monday, Tuesday (or Wednesday) and Friday, the endurance sports I will do at my lunch breaks, and I will be a weekend-grindette. :f_biggrin::f_thumbsup:
