We all work hard, don't we? So we deserve some luxury every now and then, right?

I just returned from my shopping trip. It wasn't cheap, but I decided to reward myself with something special today. :f_grin:

Zewa Ultra Soft toilet paper, model "Snow Promenade", with a "wintery scent" and four layers of soft, comfy goodness. :f_love:

As the back of the package says: "Experience the feeling of a wintery dream landscape in your bathroom". Looking forward to try them out. I'm going to take the most romantics sh*ts ever now! :f_love:

That was in response to my little indulgence during my shopping trip, I assume, not to Vorpal's shelf in the classroom.

There is no weather at all today.

The grandkids are here for a visit.

Well, the "no weather at all" was more of a joke, because if there is no wind, no fog or no rain there is still "nice weather"

I don't care about rain ever — I grew up on Canada's We(s)t Coast, where it rains more than it doesn't — at least from November to March

We had a guy over on Friday who gave us a quote to remove the squirrels from our attic.
No — not that one — the attic of our house

If those other squirrels are anything like me, all you need to do is to show them some feminist slam poetry in your attic for five seconds and you can be reasonably sure that they will never ever come near you again.

An interesting idea.
The plan is to block all the entrances to the attic, then install a one-way door so that they can get out but not back in.

I asked about those electronic devices that repel rodents, but he said they sometimes work, sometimes not.
Perhaps if played recordings of feminist slam poetry it would work — but I don't even know that that is.

I'd say slam poetry is like a more obnoxious version of rap (quite an accomplishment already), but without the background "music" and the rhythm, and typically with worse rhymes too. It can qualify as a torturing method.

Imagine being a kid at school and receiving a homework assignment of writing a poem on some subject, but you really don't feel like doing it, so you just write a bunch of short lines ending in the same rhyme to be done with it. Now you just need to read it out quickly in a really annoying and loud voice, and you pretty much have your slam poetry.

Is it about time to stop wishing each other a Happy New Year already? I still keep hearing it at work from some people.

Granted, some colleagues are just returning from their vacations, so this may be the first time they see each other this year. But you wouldn't wish someone a Happy New Year in September, for example, if that's the first time you see someone in that year, would you?
