Actually really pleased with the week even though my downturn continues, a lot of near miss final table bubble type things and I am pleased with how I have played.

What has helped was I got my €10 and below graph from Unibet and it's reassuring, you can barely see the downswing in it.

Also wrote about it here.

Good week and a few near misses at final tables that could have ended my downswing in one fell swoop. Happy to just put a W on the board.

Yeah still running comically bad atm and certainly not playing well the last week or two. Now that it is Spring I will be playing less MTTs as my evenings tend to be more about walking the dog with my wife when its light outside. So I will be playing a few other formats like Spins a bit more. I also have a new book almost complete and Jared Tendler is visiting the UK next week....so I'm probably going to take a few weeks off pokers, all seems like a good time to reset.

No pokers last week or this week. Putting the finishing touches to our next book last week (Mystery Bounties) and this week I am travelling to see my old buddy Jared Tendler.

No poker this week, spent most of the week in London with a visiting Jared Tendler to see which one of us has gotten greyer and fatter. I won.

I am on my last dog now, have her for 13 years now and she still bounces around like a puppy. Going to be sad day when she no longer around.

Challenge Restart

Starting Bankroll: €1,848
Goal Bankroll: €7,500

Don't worry I didn't just lose a grand in a week, I actually had a small winning week. However, I have had a very expensive month (two trips away, a big tax bill and inflation is really bad here in the UK) so I have taken some money out of my poker bankroll. I'm a BR nit anyway so it doesn't change anything.

I won't actually be playing this week anyway as I am on a holiday to Berlin. We have wanted to go for years then COVID got in the way of that. We have tons of stuff planned but if anyone has any top suggestions do let me know.

I have to be very careful, biggest hangover of my life was after German beer in Dortmund - it was so good

Beer was so good. It was EPT Dortmund at the Players Party and it was a free bar. German beer goes down like water but I had a 5 day hangover, which was probably actually alchohol poisoning

I had alcohol poisoning once after drinking straight vodka mixed with dry orange drink crystals.
My Mum took me to the Dr on the third day, and he figured it out pretty quick.
He told her not to worry, and I would be OK — but didn't tell her the cause.
This was on a school field trip, and my Dad was on the school board — so I survived in all senses of the word

Berlin was great, although the last day was stressful when we found out we were the last plane to leave before a flash airport strike - any sort of delay taking off and we would have been stuck there for days:

https://simpleflying.com/hamburg-airport-berlin-airport-security-strike-disruption/

Top things done:
*Walking tour of East Germany and cold war stuff
*Meal at the top of TV Tower (thanks SvenBe)
*Saw a Panda at the Zoo
*The Berlin Wall with arty grafiti on it
*The beer

Should be back playing this week but not right away as I am on no sleep at the moment

Not many games played but ran nicely in the two sessions I played, also made a couple of Day 2s in Phase MTTs that haven't happened yet.

New book on Mystery Bounty MTTs is 99.99% done, sending it off to my formatting guy and cover design lady this week, so fingers crossed that may be out next week.
