The contest will run from 15th of March to 15th of April. 888 give away tickets based on the amount of stream time in a week and a grand price is a place in their Stream Team. 109 ticket for 10 hours of streaming is already a good reward, but the most valuable is the experience itself.

There is not much stream/video material about BLAST games with antes. I'm think participating in it would be an interesting and challenging experience. I'm not sure, though, that video of me silently playing 4 tables would interest anyone. I guess I'd need to develop some "streaming persona" for it. It was always fun to watch reaction of streamers on very standard plays or runouts, or how they take timebank just to make those spots more jusier.

Does anyone have a streamer experience to share tips and tricks? I would appreciate some coaching or mentoring in this topic

That sounds good. I remember 2 or 3 years in the past the was a streaming action from Stars. Main price was a Platin Pass. And every weekend you can win some ticktes. I was the streamer with the most days streaming, every day during the competion. Streaming must be in English which was sometimes difficult for me. Was a funny time and I have still some contacts to people in Canada or Irland.

Can you share a link for the streams? I'm very interested to see practical a beginner's stream example. When I look at Nick Walsh, Lex Veldhuis, and Spraggy they all are well-accomplished streamers, their set-up is top-notch, their audience is big. But that's not the point where streamers start

You need a software like OBS studio, microphone a cam and maybe a layout (not necessary). I have send you a request for friendship. We could talk or I could show you my setting as example.

I find it challenging to justify your talent, and uniqueness or talk about amazing things about you. Everyone is unique, but describing it and emphasizing how unique you are is a hell of a challenge. This has to be a "great filter" for most applicants ))

By the way, fun facts about me that highlight my uniqueness:
- I broke my arms 12 times in my life
- I was married twice and divorced twice the same girl (you can't imagine number of jokes I had about my ex-wife during my second marriage)
- I did a round-the-world trip in 4 month

Now I feel my uniqueness is justified...

I remember at the Pokerstars streaming challenge there where no question like this. Everyone you join the challenge. I think it is more commercial at 888. They will only give people a chance which are "good" for the company for futher use. At Stars everbody had the chance to become famous.

With your results I think you would be one of the top 3 streamers. But you see also the problems here in Germany. Good players and streamers are going to Austria, Malta, Cyprus or stop streaming in Germany.

I was a very breaky kid. In the period between 9 years till 16, I had a hand in the cast about twice a year.

That should be a good story at streamer at 888. But it is not possible. I have also my story ready. i died on time in the past. This should also be something which is not normal.

A question about learning the Spins. Did you have a group for discussing hands or are you doing all alone at home?

Yeah, mainly alone at home - this sounds quite depressing )) In order not to be so lonely and depressing I'm paying a Pro Spin Grinder to coach me (50$ an hour)... I haven't managed to build a good community around this hobby and the closest that I can name as my group is PokerStrategy blog readers. I used to vent lots of things to my wife, but since I have blog I'm not doing it anymore

On my first job (that I got after I went broke and decided to call it a day for professional poker career) I met a guy (good friend of mine now for 12 years). He had very similar interests and past as I did. He finished the same uni as I and played poker professionally for a year or so as I did. But he played in a offline school, it was like a stable, where they trained players, gave them a bankroll and a poker-site to play. In return school had a good share of rake from the site as they guaranteed traffic and some of the win-rate. From what he told me it was a great experience: to learn, play and sometimes live together in community of like-minded people that are learning and mastering their craft together in a competitive / collaborative environment.

Me on the other hand didn't have such experience - I was mostly playing, studyind (and eventually loosing my BR) alone with no supervision and support. Well, if you are in Berlin and looking to hook-up for a beer to discuss strategy or general poker topics - let me know. May be it is a start of a fruitful collaboration!

I have a big news to share - I was reached out by affiliate that I was talking about for the past 5+ posts. Together with 888Poker they set a goal for me for March to generate $900 to be retagged and accepted in their deal (up to 60% additional rakeback). This is a big game-changer and having 17 days to go I'm confident that it I'll finish it on time.

I'm now thinking about the next challenge to set for myself and my thoughts are flying around WSOP2024 and Main Event - my dream from far-far away past. I recall watching 2010-2012 Main Event episodes with Norman Chad joking about his ex-wifes... So I'm quite certain about it, just spinning in my head different options to commit to...

I'm from Spain and playing cash at 888 and recently discovered blasts for myself, it seemed to me a very exciting format and I started to google more info about it, so I found your blog through Google and it's the best source of information about blasts. At first, it's really difficult and complicated to understand if blasts are beatable. I've read a couple of your posts about low limits under 10$, but would like to ask you to help me and other players who would like to try to beat blast low limits. Is it possible?
I play 1$, my chipEV/T is 40. rake is 0.91+0.09 so it's 10%. I don't know how to calculate it properly, I think if the start stack is 300 chips and rake is 10%(30 chips)
expected roi = (300(start stack) - 30(rake) + 40(my ev/t))/300-1=3,33%
Do you think my calculations are correct and is it possible to beat micros with 40ev/t and ROI 3,3%?

Hey VicktorRaven and welcome to the blog. Spins are beatable on 888Poker, all limits. Though, I have little experience playing on 1$ limit.

Expected ROI was challenging for me to calculate as well, mainly due to different multipliers having different starting stacks. Assuming you are playing the same game in 300 and 500 games and your ChipEV proportional to the stack size then my calculations for 1$ limit would be:

(CPG/AvSackSize+1) * (1-Rake/1)-1= (40/314 + 1) * (1 - 0.09/1) - 1 = 2.59%

AvStackSize was calculated as the weighted average of starting stacks to frequencies of games.

My advice to you is not to start from 1$ limit, but to deposit 200$ and start with 2$. 1$ is messed-up limit due to 1M jack-pot that makes all other multipliers less profitable, and you shouldn't count on hitting that jackpot any time soon as you would hopefully move to the next stakes faster )

On top of 2.59% expected roi you have a rakeback, that is a significant part of the BLAST win rate. My historical calculations of Leaderboards wins give a somewhat 40-60% of rakeback if played right. 9% rake with 40-60% rakeback would give an additional 4.5% win rate. So with some dedication and work on the game you'd be able to move to 5s and 10s relatively quickly. Good luck and feel free to post your questions / doubts here. Thank you a lot for your response, I never saw multipliers in blast limits and thought they were all the same, I thought a 1million jackpot was like marketing, that it's not affecting multiplier distribution

I find it hard to believe. Just to make sure we are on the same page when I talk about multipliers - I'm referring to different prizes on the same buy-in. ( https://www.888poker.de/official-blast/). The most common are 2x and 3x, where you are playing for 2-3$ winner-takes-all with 300 starting chips. Less common, but quite frequent are 5x, 10x and 25x, where you have 500 starting chips. Starting from 10x+ you have more than 1 prize place so ICM kicks in, but most people don't adjust much to this fact. I've never had 100x+ multiplier in my 15K+ games
