All these cheating scandals make me paranoid too. There is one reg in my pool, and I can't win against him. The thing is, that I don't think I have never seen him bluffing. His preflop ranges are very solid. I think he overcalls a bit versus me, but bets/raises are always for value postflop. Should be an easy opponent, but he hits every friggin' river. Super annoying.

I also got hammered by an aggro. 3bet 16% with big sample size, and he likes to shove all kinds of crap preflop. I 4bet twice with KKds, he had AA both times. Both times the flop was AKx. I would have lost the stack anyway on the flop (without 4betting), so the result would have been the same. And then I got twice the money in on the flop with a set vs 2pairs, and he made his 4 or 2 outer. Super annoying.

Once again, I was way over my BR challenge amount. But today's session might have dropped me below it. Super annoying.

I once had only one regular opponent in 888 FL 3/6 tables, his name was tiger and he was from Russia. He was always playing a solid 32/22 style and what disturbed me, he never replied to table chat. Finally after a year or something I saw him once typing two letters to chat or something. So he wasn't robot but it was annoying that there was another regular who was often playing and was very good at the game, not making mistakes at all :/

Played a session after few days break. Some familiar aggros took my chips with really low equity on flops/turns but hitting the perfect rivers. It looked like non-profitable session, but in the very last hands (I had already clicked "sit out next BB on all tables") managed to get three 3way flop all-ins or preflop all-ins with AA, and all of them held. Turned to marginal profits. Once again the patience was a virtue.

One of those aggros is a funny one. When I started my session he sat down on HU table. I think he started the session too. He played quite tight, definitely WAY TOO tight for HU. But after he lost one stack, all hell broke loose. He went back to his normal 85/65/35 stats. On this laptop I have 1K hands on him. His EV is -30 buyins, his profits are +15 buyins. Running casually 45 buyins over EV in 1K hands, lol.

Now I am VERY suspicious. A new player joined the pool todau, VPIP 100 and passive. But raises flops and turns without nuts (I have blockers) even multiway. Calls pot sized cbets multiway with air (like 8883 on AJ2 flop). Hits almost every hand, and sits with over 1000bb stack playing single table.

He called multiple times big cbets with total air, spiking 1 or 2 outer on the turn or river. Wasn't just one or two hands, he did that for over an hour.

Which network were you playing at?

Combined national and Austrian closed network. Although this hand gave me something back and eased my suspicions:

Spoiler

On the flop I bet, 3rd player raises all-in with short stack (he had 7 high flush), this guy cold calls, I shove and he calls for stacks. Not sure if he knows the rules though. That would explain a lot of those weird calls with trips in hand etc.

Nasty session, had 3 big hands 200bb deep where I get 2nd nuts in 3bet pots versus wild players who overplay a lot of stuff on the flop and also make weird pot raises with air in similar spots. 3 times flop all-in with 2nd nuts, every time they wake up with the nuts. Good play in the long run, today's short run was a bit worse.

Hitting 2 outers for an hour long? That does sound VERY suspicious indeed!

Players who ignore a mono flop are very much in the catagory: I don't believe you have a hand... I guess...

So do you have a rule for yourself where you call with the second nuts? Like always going all-in with Khigh flush (with no A on the board) where you would fold a Qhigh flush for instance?

It depends on situation. But as rule of thumb I always stack off with 2nd nuts on 3bet+ pots.

Tested that PLO2 R&C yesterday and this morning. Decent 30bb/100 winrate, a bit over 7bb/100 more from leaderboard ($4) and then $31 from care flipament with mini stack. Running hot!

There was one aggro, probably the one that Khiinau mentioned in his blog. I picked a pretty good timing tell from him, and oh boy did I run him over. He went for multiple big bluffs, and I made seemingly hero calls over and over again. And you know you have done something right when he started to rant in the chat. When someone writes to GG R&C chat while 4 tabling, it really hit his nerves. Loved it, flush completed on the turn and I bet, he raises and I call. On the river I bet really small, he raises pot and writes something like "you stupid fish, go and fold your baby flush!". I shoved my nut flush and he instafolded.

I think that actually after that hand he stopped being aggro versus me. He started to slowplay made hands way more than earlier. Didn't play a lot after that, so I don't know if that was his adjustment or just variance. But if you are an aggro and someone hero calls you a lot, the worst thing is to slow play your strong hands.

That's nice. You actually don't have to crush these people, it's ok if you fold alot and get +2bb/100 vs them in the long run. But crushing them is huge winrate obviously.

Nice hand.

Spoiler

BTN: 110.8 BB
Hero (SB): 173.4 BB
BB: 97.8 BB
UTG: 224.8 BB
MP: 242 BB
CO: 148.2 BB

Hero posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 6♦ 3♥ A♥ A♦

fold, MP raises to 3.4 BB, fold, fold, Hero raises to 11.2 BB, fold, MP calls 7.8 BB

Flop: (23.4 BB, 2 players) K♣ J♥ 7♣
Hero checks, MP checks

Turn: (23.4 BB, 2 players) 4♥
Hero bets 17.6 BB, MP raises to 76.2 BB, Hero calls 58.6 BB

After flop check I have op, nfd + gs. Definitely enough to bet. Opponent raises, which is a bit weird after flop check. I really though about shoving, as I would have 86bb behind to a huge pot. That raise looks like either a semibluff, or slow played 2p on the flop. Could be K4/J4, maybe with hearts.

River: (175.8 BB, 2 players) 4♦
Hero checks, MP bets 154.6 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 86 BB and is all-in

4 on the river makes turned 2 pairs a bit less likely. And opponent shoves for about half a pot. I beat all flopped 2 pairs now that might turn hand into a bluff. I don't believe in flopped set at all, unless it's supernuts like AKKQcc etc. My hand is quite face up to AA. Once I check, opponent instashoves. VERY often with strong hand opponent uses time to make it look like a tough decision. It could be that he has K4 and is anxiously waiting to shove while I think on the river. But turn raise and river shove reps such a narrow range, and two 4's on the table that range is very low frequency hand. I need to be right about 1/4 times and he has missed semibluffs in range too.

MP shows 5♦ 7♦ 6♣ 3♣ (Two Pair, Sevens and Fours)
(Pre 36%, Flop 59%, Turn 39%)
Hero shows 6♦ 3♥ A♥ A♦ (Two Pair, Aces and Fours)
(Pre 64%, Flop 41%, Turn 61%)
Hero wins 343.4 BB

13500 hands in 3hours, 30bb/100 + those bonuses is really HOT. "Little bit" more per hour than collecting empty cans and bottles.

750 hands per hour. I mean if the games would be breakeven, that 7bb/100 from leaderboard would be $1/h.

OK, I had some brainfart with numbers from your post in LB-thread:sorry: But 30bb/100 is still nice.

Just watched this Bencb's video: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/54212/

The discussion of gto applies to PLO too. How much you should invest your time to learn solver stuff, compared to using that time to learn how to exploit opponents? As Bencb says, we make money in poker by exploiting our opponents. Solvers don't teach us that. If we spent all our time in learning solver output, is that increasing our winrate? Another good point is that if opponent deviates from solver strategy during the preflop, it changes solver output for whole postflop. If we stick too heavily to solver strategy on the flop and turn, we might be quite far away from good EV strategy.

My advice to all small stakes players is that along with some solver work you should focus a lot on exploiting opponents. That is something I did a lot back when Pokerjuice was available, I studied how wide we can valuebet versus different assumed ranges on the river.

Rough times, again. Had a decent downswing of 20 buyins at weekend. Losing two 500bb+ pots to 1 outer and 2 outers, and then 700bb pot versus really good customer with JJ75ss and flop was J64ss. Opponent had Q932ss. Single raised pot, he decided to get it all in on the flop. He made his Q high flush for 700bb pot.

Played few hands at GG today to fill the buffet. Remembered why I should not. Let me put it this way: if there would be news that GG has security issues and some players have been able to see hole cards, I wouldn't be REALLY surprised. So many quite weird ways to play hands, and they seem to win pots way too often.

I hear GG is some big newcomer, trying to mix poker with gaming experience?
