I almost entirely quit poker, but my friend, Harrier88, convinced me to continue - at least just for fun. So, I decided to completely cash out everything and re-start with freerolls, just for fun. I didn´t play much, so Harrier and I decided to share a blog, I was just a weekend warrior and played freerolls. But well, I "accidentally" built a BR with freerolls on Partypoker and decided to return to the tables. But the freeroll- and tournament section is here in our shared blog. It´s a bit more light-hearted and funny, because it was originally meant just for fun.
This blog here focusses on CG and is a bit more "ambitious".
The decision is made!
There was a very nice appartment just around the corner and even the "endboss" (landlord) was likeable. Yesterday, I had an open and honest talk with our landlady and things have drastically changed! We could find an agreement! So, the question: Should I stay or should I go? can be answered with: I stay! Yes, Homer and I decided to stay here and one of reasons is the agreement with our landlady and - importantly! - the other reason is our big terrace! The new appartment has just a teeny tiny balcony, which makes it impossible for me to grow my "hot stuff" (chilis) there! And eventually, it´s financally the better choice to stay!
We agreed on a little renovation and the rest will be "do it yourself". I don´t know how it´s handled in other countries but here, in Germany, even if you just rent an appartment, you can change and repair a lot of stuff yourself - which is called "Do it yourself". So, Homer and I decided that we better invest the money, we save by NOT moving out, into a nice glow-up of our current appartment by "Do it yourself"! There will be some new furniture, some re-arranging and there will be a BIG HUGE declutter!!

A pretty close second is having reasonable choices available. They can be used to bargain, as in "Well, if we can't come to an agreement, there is always this other nifty place a short distance away..."
Here were I live reasonably priced housing is almost non-existent, and actually affordable housing even less so. People are spending 30-40% of their income on rent here.

The rents are increasing here, too! This is why our landlady jumped on that waggon and increased the rent, because everybody does it. Affordable appartments are very rare nowadays - and we live in one! Even with the higher rent, it is still affordable, and as soon as the damages will be repaired, everything will be fine! Still good price! Just went from a VERY good price to a "just a good price". Also here, people are spending about 30 % of their income on rent. And to add insult to injury, food prices got jacked up too! Many people cannot afford to go on holiday anymore: They either go camping or spend their vacation at home.
Speaking of vacation ....
We´re heading to the North Sea shore this Saturday for 2 weeks. Until then, a lot of work has to be done: in the office and in the appartment. As we have definitely made up our minds that we will stay here, there´s a lot to clean and tidy up and the terrace has to be cleaned of course! Summertime is over, summer veggies have to go and furthermore, there´s a lot to rearrange (which I did today). The surviving HOT STUFF will hibernate (Aji Charapita, Zimbabwe Bird´s Eye, Habanero and Kusburnu), hope for MUCH more luck with the HOT STUFF next year. 
We just had the "little yellow trunk" (yummy spicy chili), Kusburnu (spicy), Aurora (spicy), Jalapeno (spicy), Cayenne (spicy), still got Aji Charapita, but no fruit there, not even flowering, Habenero is still flowering, don´t know if there´s going to be any peppers, but never give up hope! 
So, don´t know if there´s gonna be some CG this week, let´s see how well and quickly I can proceed with the house-work and the gardening ...
I never get the landlord thing, I always travel fast by them... they usually scream some nonsense in Estonia and offer bad deals that would be highly in their favor. They also tend to be of civil nature and I'm highly of military nature.

It strongly depends on the landlord or landlady! Some are very nice and some are just a*-holes! We went on an appartment viewing last Saturday. The appartment was lovely!! The environment was great, lots of nature around! And a really good price! It would have been the appartment of our dreams - if the landlord wasn´t such a w*nker!

It was more like: "The appartment is lovely, the area is absolutely stunning, but, YOU SIR, are a BIG w*nker!!" 
Of course I didn´t write exactly that when I rejected the offer. 
Yeah I'm always like: "let's move out of town" and I have everything, work, dreams, out of town... but girlfriend is always like: "right now to my home town!!"... so I gotta learn the city life. The weird thing is about city life, there's like no place to rest. If you want to smoke a cigarette or take a break, it's like only full of highways and people rushing to work... other than that, the area is gorgeous.
As a landlord and a big time wanker I find prim's posts lately difficult to not take personally. Those are my people you talk about! 😎

Finally! Time for vacation! This means, that there won´t be CG during the next two weeks - but maybe some freerolls. Let´s see.

New season, new schedule!
Hey guys, what´s up? We´ll be back from vacation on Saturday and while we enjoy a bit less intense "tennis bootcamp" than during summer season, we´re quite exhausted! It´s really about time for off-season! Many things will change during off-season and this goes for work, poker and sports!
I decided to change my work-schedule (which I can do anytime as a self-emplyed): Monday to Thursday I will work a bit longer, but have Fridays generelly off! So, my CG-sessions on workdays will be shorter, but another CG-grind will be added on Fridays! Monday will still be my study-day.
During off-season I don´t like to have too many sports-days, so everything (Crossfit, swimming, tennis) will be stuffed into 3 sports-sessions per week. This means that I will have "only" 2 to 3 days with sports, but longer and more intense! That´s enough for fall and winter to stay fit.
Let´s see how that will work out.
So, next CG-session will be very probably next Tuesday ....

At least our fellow-regs play very carefully when they´re in the pot with me. This is a nice "take home compliment". Otherwise, my "comeback" at the tables after a longer absence due to vacation went well. Haven´t forgotten too much ♠_biggrin: PLO went well, Holdem went well - except for one stupid blooper with A4s (not folding upon a raise on turn and trying to push the hand through). After I realized my big blooper, I folded :f_ugly::f_ugly: Yep. We got one stupid blooper hand.
Besides I think - despite fatigue - we played well: me and my "Cash Queen" Pom Pom. ♠_biggrin: Due to fatigue I avoided difficult situations, just played pretty much classical TAG-ABC-poker, but that was enough.
Even played some HU with fellow-reg while we were waiting for fun-players. We both played carefully, but when they ran with AK into our AA, we took a stack from them! They took a couple of pots from us, but small ones. We tried to be unpredictable and tried out our first little GTO-skills (not much yet, but some).
Despite a longer card-dead period, the game was exciting!
And today, we got our Troll of the month: our washing machine!! Murphys law: You just come back from vacation, you have tons of dirty laundry - and then: washing machine breaks down!! :facepalm::rage: Our landlady kindly let us use her washing machine for at least one pile of dirty clothes.... ♠_love:
But we gotta get that fixed asap!

If (when) that happens here, we load all the laundry in bags and take it to the laundromat. Annoying, but it actually takes less time, because you can do several loads all at once. Not that we ever let laundry pile up, of course.
I have no idea what a laundromat is, we don´t have this here - at least not nearby.

It is a public laundry. In the olden days, when we didn't own machines of our own, we saved up coins and laundry. When we had 5 loads or so we'd haul it there. Five loads was $1 each to wash, $1 each to dry, but the dryers would take two wash loads.
I just had a look to see what prices are now, and they range from $2 to $8 per load. No coins needed though...
Most of them had a drop off service, where if you paid double (or so) they would do all your laundry for you and you could pick it up on your way home from work.
Still got any screenshots from your session, Prim? I remember some very cool hands - like quad Kings in Hold'em and even a flopped straight flush in Omaha, both fully paid.
