im not sure if its in general soo bad. many ppl just cant deal with an attitude/mindset of never crying around, always just looking for solutions and enjoying every day and never be in a bad mood. many ppl just like to flame and cry

i think in my case my long relationship and past experiences + mindset & personality makes a bit of a bad mix for longterm relationships with girls atm. but im learning

When i was reading what you said TT a scenario instantly popped up in my mind when being in a relationship with a girl. Definetly think your right about it being -EV in general in a relationship. Ofcourse staying calm during a fight and not cursing/beating that person like some men do is definitely a big plus ♦

Some or all women(girls).. i'm not sure of this yet. Want you to care so much about them that you will get jealous about something they do with another male. Not obsessive jealous. But for example she gets drunk and kisses another guy. She wants you to get mad and be pissed off or else she'll think you simply don't care about her or the relationship. If you know the relationship is very solid and have nothing to fear for and know it was just a mistake. Then you could respond with like: Meh.. ok.. whatever.. and keep watching TV or something Then you could get a fight about that.. while you did nothing wrong and she basically cheated on you

It's not so much the scenario as it is that they want you to be a little jealous cause they think it shows you care. i decided to google it just now.. And it's actually not that big of a secret. As i've heard it before but always took it with a grain of salt before i actually heard it first hand from females

How much studying do you do these days? (Poker wise). I know your blog contains mainly entertaining posts and some poker hands, and you try to make it fun, so I'd like to know if you do alot of work behind the scenes? (Clearly you have in the past ofc). I see blogs like TLN & mbml's and they put alot of work into studying. Do you think you do as much? Do you think it's necessary to maintain your game? I know these days you play mostly like PLO HU etc @ the higher of your stakes $1k etc. And mostly 2/4rush NL, do you think your game type choices play a big part in the amount you study?

Pokerwise where do you see yourself in 3 years? Ofc I know by then you will be master of the trading universe shipping the $$ from your crazy monkey investments, but in terms of do you think you will still be playing these limits? Do you think you will still be a big winner? Do you think you will still be trying to keep on top of your game aswell as trade/run businesses etc?

If you do make alot more money @ trading & business in general, can you see yourself playing higher stakes than you do now? Or would it be too much work studying to get yourself to be able to beat them games? (You don't strike me as the sort of person who would play them knowing he is a losing player etc)

Slightly offtopic: You coach some awesome guys on the forums, do you plan on taking more people on in the future? Or do you think coaching will mainly remain as a strictly paid by the hour thing, rather than taking ppl on with longer term %'age type deals.

yes i do. im not playing nosebleeds, but still in order to beat/crush mid/highstakes u have to work harder than most others. i mix in many hand reviews, but for the most part i work on my game while playing. im thinking of as many different lines as i can and try to figure out the best way to play this game every second. also im watching many videos. so many training sites out there, all of them have some rly great coaches. i def get many inspirations from those vids.

i might not be putting more hours into improving my game off the tables as other regs, but im pretty sure im working more effectively than most others. also @ uni i didnt learn more hours than the others, but in the end i got the better grades.

quality hours are important. when grinding it doesnt help u if u mindlessly grind. u rly have to focus and try to find as many small spots where u can improve parts of your game or could exploit your opponents

in my blog i dont wanna give away too much. esp about my plo game. about my sng game im happy to reveal all my secrets (arent many tho )
also it would take me pages to write too much about my game and that would just be too time consuming. cuz if i rly start analyzing hands or talking strategy, im usually writing novels ♦

its definitely important to work on all parts of your game to stay on top. i know some ppl who have been solid winning plrs and now are back to their day job or nl100 cuz they cannot beat the game any more.

in 3 years i'll have my own twicettower as headquarter for all my monkey companies and im gonna play hu cashgames while all my managers are working their ass off

dunno, if i still play prof. in 3 years, i most likely play only hu online.
offline i def still play sh and sometimes maybe mtts.

i wouldnt play nosebleeds even if i ship wsop main event. i will only play in games i feel like i can have an edge.
but its not said that i dont get coaching by galfond after i ship it in vegas. maybe im rdy after some coaching sessions for these stakes ♦

im always looking for +ev spots. i dont wanna play vs the best to prove anything, i just wanna make some money. im a humble person.

i wont take any % deals atm and probably not anytime soon. compared to my hourly coaching overall is massively -ev. however, sometimes its fun. but i dont wanna overdo it. i have a good team of mtt stakees and % deals in cg atm. from time to time i also record some vids for ps. thats enough on the coaching front

before starting playing poker, i tilted a lot. also in golf. but esp when playing tennis. when i was younger i used to play a lot of tennis. i would have been above average ... but i tilted away all my edge. i also broke my racket once a month due to heavy tilt.

i have always been very competitive. but when i lost, i tilted rly hard. not only in tennis, golf ... also at football or just playing video games.

poker changed it all i guess ♦ i started to be a rl pro from then on ♠_cool:

Did ever tought poker was consuming your time, by you either was wasting time playing poker when u could sth more enjoyable or when u were doing some rl stuff u were thinking about poker?

Do you still have a good/large part of your friends being non-poker players? Do you have some kind of objectives, that you dont want be around poker players only or vice-versa?

Back in the days of uni, how does it feel to be the only one among your friends to be able to print money? And how that affected you, like not partying baller like u could cause your friends dont have money or not crazy enough.

How were your poker swings, both financially and psychologic. Smooth sailing all the way or a bit crazy (more about month a month basis)

I think you are a very talented player, very good coach, and an awesome person. You must be one of the top 10 poker players who knows how to enjoy life to the fullest.

i learned pretty early (mostly through reading business magazines) that u have to absolutely focus on your work/poker, maybe even be obsessed with it. but the second u are off your screens, u shouldnt think about it and shouldnt let your mood be influenced by the outcomes. so i tried hard not to show if i won or lost when meetings friends after sessions. i also tried not to think about the game cuz i realised it might not be healthy to think poker 24/7.

wasnt easy at first, but now i can absolutely switch off my poker brain when off the tables.

i never felt wasting my time playing poker. i like the challenge, i like the moniez and i think overall poker teaches so many great skills for rl, i think like every second spend for poker is worth it.

but yeah, there have been times overall when i thought all this studying and poker consumes too much off my time and i absolutely have no rl besides that. but we cant have everything i guess ♦ sometimes we have to fight through hard times (which in fact arent even hard if u see the big picture. i mean ppl around the world have real problems and im crying cuz i dont have enough time for rl activities)

at uni, i didnt party like a baller cuz i simply didnt go out in 4 years at all. 2 studies, gf and being poker pro was absolutely enough. it was hard enough to get enough sleep. absolutely no time for parties (but i had plenty in school times, so i didnt feel i miss anything) also, gf/family/friends > parties anyway. but ofc, parties also rock ♦ just if i had to chose, i would know what has the higher priority.
i didnt rly show that i had some money. it was always my plan to save most of it for my future ventures.
... but when i parked my 911 in front of the uni, ppl finally realised i must be doing something right ♦

i also had crazy swings. not as crazy ofc like some other pros who play rly high (i guess yoghi had some sicker experiences $ wise ♦ ) but crazy enough for me. but i didnt rly ever had a real big downswing that u read so often in the forums. i never lost 30 buy-ins or anything.

2 reasons:
- i play in games where i have a huge edge. cuz im a rly solid player and i tables select well
- everytime i lost some buy-ins on lets say 1k. say 7k. i moved down to 400 and 600 and grinded it back. i never let it happen to rly lose many buy-ins. in case i had lost also some moniez on 600, i would mix 400 and 200 and make it back. within some weeks i always had the moniez back and could continue grinding. might not be the best longterm ev decision to move down if u have sufficient bankroll, but for me it was the best choice cuz i absolutely prevented any sort of tilt due to a downswing. i just moved down, worked on my game, made the money back (and won some more) and booom, everything was ok.
i know some friends who were stuck 50stacks on nl1k. even for the best mindset, this hurts a lot. that could have never happened to me.

overall tho, im pro for 40 months now. i had 3 break even or slightly winning/losing months and 37 winning months. so on a monthly basis, im always winning. on a daily basis im ofc losing as well and have solid swings. not more than 10k tho in both directions.

im happy with my balance of poker and everything else in life. i might not be the best player (well im certainly not ♦ ) but i dont care cuz i fkn rock that life

Hahahaha i've just realised, a lot of the time i'm walking around my little student town and see students driving around in 911's, Aston Martin's and BMW's and stuff and I always think "What a twat" because I assume it's some Daddy's boy who got an M5 for their 17th birthday. Now I come to think of it there could be highstakes poker players all around me Hahahahaha. Although I doubt it, most likely they are just twats.
