Relieved to find the poker world still turning on my return from Spain, although predictably no progress on FTP... However, it was our fifth wedding anniversary yesterday and Mrs Tim64's parents were kind enough to send us a little something while we were away, which was a delightful surprise on our return.
It was a very good break with my loved ones at the family's villa on the Costa Blanca, roughly halfway between Valencia to the north and Alicante to the south.
The first half of the holiday was excellent health-wise; I felt really relaxed and loose. Unfortunately swimming breaststroke in the pool in the second half caused some of the old problems to return meaning things were a bit marred by pain in my left pectoral.
Party was good enough to welcome me back from my vacation with a $500 reload bonus. As far as I can make out (and having deposited the required $500) I don't need to do anything other than play my normal games and I should gain another 16.6% rakeback over the next month and a half.
Health troubles aside I think my mindset has benefited from the break. I'm trying to look at this year, starting August, as just that: a YEAR. I really shouldn't be worrying about running badly month-to-month or even for longer periods. All that matters is my profit for the year, taken as a whole. To that end, I am going to try to refrain from posting graphs for individual days which (as I should know by now) are frankly meaningless. I might make an exception if I ever manage to win or lose $1000 in a single day!
Anyway, for those of you who might be wondering what your faithful scribe looks like in the flesh, here he is: (the one on the left, loyally wearing his PS.com Diamond T-shirt, aka "where is my endorsement deal???")
