Full tilt poker and pokerstars are working, Absolute poker is giving that FBI error, but software works fine

This is not good

These things rarely go federal unless it's a slam dunk.

Online Poker will survive but poker in the US might just be doomed.

holy crap this actually fucking deadly serious.

The impact this could have on the legitimacy of the largest poker websites out there are huge.

How retarded is this? Online poker could generate so much tax revenue for the US. Anyway, should we withdraw money from FT/Stars for safety?

this is because your dns has not propagated yet. if you flush your dns and clear your cache you will get the error on their websites.

It's only just come to light in the past 30 minutes or so

It's definitely the standard US vs Freedom crap they've been pitching for the past 10 years but the FBI have seized Pokerstars, Full Tilt and UB/Absolute's homepages. If you're in the US now and go to these webpages chances are you get a webpage saying the FBI have seized the site

Fortunately I don't have a lot of $$$ on Stars but there will be a lot of very nervous people at the moment who will be furious that despite doing nothing illegal they may be about to lose thousands of dollars. However for the moment the clients are still running and there's no rule against cashing out in Europe.

FWIW I've cashed out...helloooo Party I think for a while. Looks like they made the correct decision long term in pulling out.

I didn't think any of these sites were based in the US, and the FBI has no authority outside of the US, so apart from removing .com domains there's not alot they can do surely ?
Little bit of cage rattling on the part of the federal government over the regulation issue possibly ?
2+2 forum not loading for me at the minute, will know more later.

They're seeking extradition of those involved from the countries they have extradition treaties with, which I'm say to say our extradition treaty includes the Isle of Man

They probably can't stop them serving the non-US guys but they can hit them with a fine so large they'll bankrupt the site for sure.

But Really this is all specutlation, we have to wait and see

can someone explain what is going on? ;(
