today i deleted my hem db cuz i wanted to start fresh (too much old data and i dont wanna waste hdd space)

created a new (empty) one. but still, when sitting down i have hundrets of hands on some plrs. why? how can i rly finallly delete all data?
hdd sniffer says postgre sql takes several gb in disc space .... how can it be? how can i delete all that stuff?

Did you import hands into the new database or restore a backup?
If you create a new database its definitely empty so there is no other explanation.
The postgresql installation always needs some space but if you only have one database with nearly no data it shouldn't be that much.
Please check the pg_log subfolder of your postgresql installation folder. If you see files in this folder you can delete them, they are only log files.

Don't touch the other folders - but they shouldn't use much space.
If you don't want any old data, just uninstall HEM, postgress, delete any data folders, reinstall.
It's not the smartest solution, but prob. faster than looking for the answer to what happened...

we had probs with the pg_log folder. it was like 60gb big and i couldnt open it as i didnt had rights (i had, but whatever, rigged folder!)
fkn vista, we rly tried out everything. but ubuntu did the job. i could delete the folders there.
