villain is 62/20 in 49 hands, 0.4AF

is there any chance i could just check it on the river? because no worse hands will probably call me except weaker overpairs.

The thing about playing against bad mid stacks (or bad big stacks in 3bet pots) who play set draws with incorrect implied odds on catching their set is that when they hit, you almost never are going to get away from paying with AA.

Call20 is our standard for set value, and SB is calling at about 17 OOP. It is hard to put him on such a hand. I would have bet flop and turn, then check-call river to give him a chance to bluff with incomplete draws (FD / overcards).

i think turn betsizing is to small, but as played i will stack off on river.

its always hard to let go of overpair / AK TPTK type hands vs midstacks

Like how you played. River shove is a littlebit thin, but since he would call you down with any pair then I would also shove river for value

Hello YinYangS,

Against those stations you can consider even giving a better protection on flop and turn. Which means I'd bet the flop ~$0,60 and as played the turn ~$1,40 to get better protection. If they have a hand they are going to pay you anyways.
