This villain is 36/4 in 78 hands, with AF of 0.6

99% sure I'm screwed on the turn.

c/f is the only real option here?

Perhaps bet $0.32 on the flop?

BB ($3.40)
UTG ($1.17)
UTG+1 ($3.78)
UTG+2 ($1.97)
CO ($1.75)
BTN ($3.17)

Dealt to Hero Q♣ Q♦

fold, UTG+1 calls $0.02, fold, fold, BTN calls $0.02, Hero raises to $0.12, fold, UTG+1 calls $0.10, BTN calls $0.10

FLOP ($0.38) J♠ 7♦ 9♠

Hero bets $0.28, UTG+1 calls $0.28, BTN folds

Hi Philhellmutt

Actually I really like how you played that hand! I would just bet a bit more on the flop, like you said.
On the turn every possible draw hits, so I would just give it up. He might have a worse Ax or Jx hand, but I rather don't take the risk. He is a passive player as well and when he starts betting I'm even more inclined to fold the hand.

Do you have any cbet stats btw? Because if his fold to cbet is VERY low I might think about betting small on turn. But only in rare occasions.

On flop i would sometimes bet a bit bigger or even go all in if i'm against call happy fish.

But congrats on turn fold!

Hope it helps

Yep, when a station bets strong on this board, I think we're crushed like a bug under a steel cap boot.

RasTweet, he had 45% Fold to Cbet, so was happy to get value on the flop. Turn is a different story!

Hello philhellmutt,

Totally like your play here, not many hands you beat on the turn anyways than just bluffs. I would have played the same way. Well done mate! You could CB a bit bigger on the flop but it ain't a bug mistake.

Best Regards.
