Hey guys, I've sold a package here before for SCOOP and effectively broke even on it. My results/credentials are also included in that thread. SCOOP Package

I'm looking to sell up to 60% of my action for the Stardust Canadian Poker Classic held in Montreal and running from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2. The event is sponsored by Pokerstars and is hosted by Jonathan Duhamel. I already have my flights booked so I will be playing regardless of amount of action sold. I have a fair amount of live cash game experience so I am comfortable with live poker, but very little live tournament experience. However, this event promises to be extremely soft as Stars is promoting it pretty heavily to Canadians.

Info and structure for the event can be found here. http://stardustpokermansion.com/en/info-structure Results should be available at the website, but I will be posting updates from my twitter account @wasy8.

2.5% = $30.25
5% = $60.5
10% $121
20% = $242

Reserve 2.5-5% regardless of the pay-out structure.

If you're flying in, check out Day's Inn on Herron Rd. Dorval.

If you want to be closer to the venue check out Chateaguay or St-Constant (to save on Taxi to and from)

Taxi from Airport is a flate rate but you can bus it to Day's Inn. (5 min.) and save 30 -40$ each way.

Hi Eric,

We are expecting to sell out at 300 players which will make a 300000$ prize pool. Depending on if we have alternates I cannot give you a payout structure.

If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact me

This is the answer I received this morning, hope that helps.

I'll take stakes right up until the 29th or until I'm sold out.

GL in the tournament! I would offer to stay at my house for a much lower price but I still live with my parents so no room :P Jaggedlink pretty much summed up everything on the cheapest places to stay. There are also plenty of 5 stars downtown if you want a good experience, and it's only something like 30 minutes away (at the most) from stardust.

Just an update - I've decided I'll need to have at least 40% sold to play. I thought this would sell a bit faster than it is.

Thanks for the accommodation recommendation guys, but I wouldn't be going unless I didn't already have a place to stay :). I'll be staying with some poker people in Montreal. If the package doesn't sell then I'll just do some cash games and as well as the usual grind.
