Active strategy forums where everyone can learn about poker are beneficial for users, coaches and PokerStrategy.com itself. High quality posts will reflect the status of our community in the poker world and increase the reputation of us and our coaches - you!
Best practices to achieve our mission:
• Support and enforce friendliness and respect from us and any member with no tolerance for trolls, insults, mocking or spam. Get in touch with the Moderator team if problems occur.
• Provide great help and advice by answering questions that cover topics you feel confident discussing about - users will thank you for it and eventually join your discussions on a higher level.
• Be quick and present. Timeliness of responses is an important factor for many users. We need to create a positive user experience, if you see a post with no answer - giving a first insight into a topic is better than a long wait.
• Show appreciation to good questions and good answers. You do not always have to give answers yourself but could function as a catalyst to encourage the community members to create high quality posts.
• Encourage activity by inviting members (and non-members) to participate in the strategy forums. This could and should also be extended outside of the strategy forums. Our introduce yourself section has new PokerStrategists every day, having a coach welcoming them would make their day.
• Start strategy posts yourself. Not only will this allow you to get feedback on hands that you are unsure about but it will also help promote your live coachings and videos. You can cross link to forum posts and our members will be highly motivated to comment on a hand posted by a coach.
• Watch out for voluntary poker experts. Should you encounter someone regularly posting productively on the forum why not propose him as a poker expert? This will help making the discussions on your boards even better.
