Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $30(BB) Replayer
SB ($1,920)
BB ($870)
UTG ($1,830)
UTG+1 ($1,440)
Hero ($1,630)
BTN ($1,310)

Dealt to Hero K♠ J♦

fold, UTG+1 calls $30, Hero raises to $120, fold, fold, BB calls $90, fold

FLOP ($285) 9♦ Q♦ 3♥

BB checks, Hero bets $150, BB folds

Hero shows K♠ J♦

Hero wins $285

Big Blind - VPIP: 38, PFR: 5, 3B: 0, AF: 1.3, Hands: 21

What is the best line for the flop? Opponent is short stack, if i cbet i risk him shoving. I think he could do this with FD, 9x,Qx, TJ,KT etc... Is it better to bet/fold or check behind because there are a lot of good turn cards for us? also if we check and hit turn we give him more oportunities to bluff or bet hands that are worse than ours.

Hi all,

I'm not a fan of bet/folding this flop. As a result with your information/thinking, I think a check back is better on this board.

If you think he's check/raising an absolute ton of hands and we also discount a lot of Ax hands from his range (because he'll ship them preflop) we can consider bet/calling an all-in with our king high.
