you should be folding to the flop lead as he is leading into what is around 50% a dry sidepot, on a drawheavy board and even the times you have the best hand here he will likely either improve or blow you off your hand on the turn, and there are so few ways to improve, aside from hitting your A or K the only cards tjhat help in any way are T and Q which are actually gonna help his range alot too. Not to mention the times you hit your K or A are the biggest scare card for his likely holdings so overall it seems like a significant leak to be peeling AK on this flop.

as played after you hit the turn i would just make a larger turn raise to get him to pay with all his draws and make bad calls with Jx hands, overall his range still doesnt have particularly ad equity vs your hand so I would just make a large raise to 400-450 on the turn, you can even go bigger. as played he's clearly weak on this brick river and his range is capped at Jx for the most part so definitely a good raise, but overall fold flop.

I have just returned to poker from 7 months break. I burned out on grinding HUSNG hypers- I played SH cash up to NL25 for a year before the change to HUSNGs. I have always loved SNGs but for some reason every time I have gone to FR or SH SNGs I get burned. Even though I played HUSNGs up to $20 games..I guess I just tend to value these premium hands too much and don't believe the donking. Looking back the opponents on HUSNG scene the donking on flops was just an attempt to blow off the villain and claim the pot.

You are totally right. Fold would have been correct considering its so early on the game. I have just been learning to fold again as it is I played around 75% hands thru the micros and even wider on the smallstakes HUSNGs. So yea fold fold fold. I have to remember its the micros again where people usually bet when they hit- Not because they want you off the pot. Back to ABC.

Yea also betsizes need to be reevaluated I was just kinda scared he would fold on a regular RR on the turn and I would miss value and the put a bigger semi bluff looking bet on river as I was not letting the pot go there anymore and BB had just doubled so I figured he might see the bigger raise on river as a bluff and call it.

(I did win this game in the end and the bb flipped out with a tilty looking bluff few hands later)
