hi guys im currently using an asus k53s laptop i7 with built in vid card.

already have a 24" external monitor but was wondering is it possible to add another monitor?

i have an extra HDMI port / and i also have a VGA - usb 3.0 converter so sockets aren't my problem. i cant google if my vid card can handle the extra load. hope any of you can help me thanks

At work I use a USB external monitor.

It works OK in the application I am using it in.
I have never tried it as a third monitor.

If you give me a day or so, I can though, and I'll let you know how it works.

I can only try it under XP though.

If he can do that, then what I was going to try will also work.

For HDMI though, the unit that I mentioned would not work.

The link brings up a google query showing several choices for usb to hdmi

There are several usb 2.0 choices -- I did not notice usb 3

Best of luck!
