Hi,

[PF] Raise with the intention to fold to a shove

[F] Villain donks. He can be trying to take me out of the pot, but his bet is very small for that. I decided to raise/fold, instead of push.

I thinked that if i pushed, i would be only called by hands that had me beat, 8x or better.

What do you think?

Thanks

Hello Paluzzo ,

We are getting great odds with second pair and a gutshot. No need to turn our strong hand in to a bluff. With the odds that we are getting after our raise we can call because he can have many weaker made hands or draws. So I prefer just to call his small donk bet. If we raise we should call his push.

We're good 2/3 of the time on this flop against villain's perceived calling range.

After we raised the donkbet, we have to call because of odds.
