3 folds, Hero raises to $1, SB folds, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.25) 5♠ 2♦ 6♦ (2 players)
BB bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50

Turn: ($5.25) 8♥ (2 players)
BB bets $3.60, Hero calls $3.60

River: ($12.45) 3♦ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $16, BB calls $16

What do we accomplish by raising OTF or OTT ? And as played, I still think it as a good bluff OTR. Why not ? What about sizing ?

Hey wicKeD,

Preflop is fine.

The plus side to raising flop is that we protect our hand vs the 25% or so equity our opponent has very frequently. Flatting is good though.

We should call turn purely because we pick up oesd, otherwise folding is fine.

Theoretically it doesn't make a ton of sense to turn an ok pair into a bluff here. Exploitatively it's reasonable though and I expect the situation to have a positive expectation. Overbet is not necessary here. Neutral 2/3rds pot sizing will do the job ok here. Given we have a pair I'd just check back in practice though and bluff with our air hands.
