My reasoning for 4-betting the villain was his very high 3-betting range, i had been patient with him for a while and finally had a hand to target him with.
So i protected the pot against the flush draw with my overpair on the flop and turn, was this the correct play?
My main mistake was probably putting my last 35bb stack in on the river. I only put him on overcards until then. But i thought if i checked the river he would just bet and i would call him anyway, considering the size of the pot.
Was I right to even 4bet in the first place even when considering his loose image? Did i get too married to my overpair on that wet board? Should i have been that aggressive oop in the first place? Was i unlucky or just foolish? ♦
