Hi guys,
Perceived SS fish open limps (no stats, just the stacksize and limping from that position seems highly fishy to me). So I iso him and c-bet flop 1/2, I guess all pretty obvious so far.
I hit my T. Villain snap-checks/snap-calls the flop and snap-overshoves the turn. I'm only bluff catching against what seems like a polarized range.
I would've value bet the turn I think. Should I check back even though my hand is pretty strong against a ch/c range?
Back to the actual hand. After villains shove I need about 38% EQ to call.
The texture is very draw heavy, so I'm thinking I may be doing better than it seems. The only hands that may have improved are JT, TT, some TXcc so if villain thought he wasn't good on the flop these types of hands would make sense to shove for value.
Villain may have flopped a monster or he could slowplay premiums preflop. You never know with these guys. But I've seen speculative hands limp/call far more often than premiums.
I thought folding would be fine, but with a huge number of draws out there I thought I could actually have 40% EQ. I was not happy and I thought folding is best in a vacuum. I'm not sure whether calling is reasonable or spewy.
What do you think of this?
