Too late. They fixed it

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/internet-poker/poker-stars-glitch-giving-out-fpps-playmoney-players-597365/

Cliff notes: A glitch occured that if you played HU SNGs you would actually receive FPPs/VPPs and since they actually have 100k play sngs people were receiving 13k points a pop. Resulting in people receiving millions in points and becoming SNE in hours as well as clearing thousands in cash bonuses e.t.c

i wish it was me ;(

i doubt he will keep them.. and probably will get banned to..

I doubt he'd be able to keep them too, but why would he be banned? he was just playing HU play money sngs.

One thing is playing for fun not knowing, and another one is abusing a bug/glitch.
It goes something like this:

First time you found the bug/glitch.
Second time you are checking it.
Third time you are abusing.

Or you're not checking your FPP status and just grinding sng hu's

Well it will be up to PokerStars to decide what they do. I would suspect they will take any money earned through this glitch and any FPP or VIP status as well.

But whether they close accounts is up to them. Would seem a bit harsh but then again what did these people think would happen when it got found out?

I'd say they would took FPPs and ranks away, however imo they can't prove anybody played those HUs intentionally to get FPPs so I would strongly disagree with banning anyone and if things came that far, those players would have pretty strong case on court...

1. they won't be banned for sure!
2. those points may be confiscated, but PokerStars won't do this IMO, because of getting bad image...

=> they'll keep all of those points and will lose their status on 1st of March next year

I actually read the entire thread at 2+2...my eyes hurt. Can't believe some of the things said there.

I'm not sure if I would have emailed them about it but I surely can't be mad at the guy who did.

hahah 2+2's a whole different world :P

people turn into zombies for being supernova elite, I don't think stars will allow them to keep the status (also supernova elite costs money to them)

but I hope they keep the money, playmoney fish with money hmmmm

The only thing I thought of is that SNE get live tourney entries I think. Would pokerstars really want some play money donk who exploited a glitch to represent them at a live tourney?

wow! That means a lot of people became SNE then.. I thought we're talking about 3-4. But still, didn't expect anyone to get banned though...

banned from PS or stars?

If hes banned from the community I'd be shocked... unless they had some proof that he was abusing it and not just donking away for fun.

Who the fuck playes that many playmoney sng's for fun? Obviously exploiting, and imho he deserves that ban (from pokerstars)

Sure they will take status and points but banning someone for abusing their glitch is ridiculus since is so obvious that they will not get away.
