Puhh, it's going to take some time until I'm done writing down all I planned to write ♠_confused:. But I think it is going to be worth it.
Ok, let's get it started. ![]()
Ah, there is a summary after each chapter, so if you are lazy and don't give a fuck about my story (in which case, wth are you doing here?), you can scroll by.
As usual, and somewhat interesting/needed, a short intro about me:
Personal Intro:
:club:Name: Claudio
:club:Age: 20
:club:From: Brazil, living in Germany.
Grew up in south Brazil, in Blumenau actually. Great town, 300k inhabitants, and the well known southbrazilian girls, which are awesome ♠_evil:. Once I was done with school there, found out family was going to move to Germany, so July 2007 I arrived near Bremen in Germany. During whole 2008 I had to go to some special school in Hamburg so my notes from Brazil could be accepted in german universities. For this winter I got into the best university in Germany, located in Munich. Started with mechanical engineering this October.

Poker Lifetime Story:
A friend, Katu1900, from Brazil posted stuff about poker in a forum me and him visited. I got interested and spoke to him, he lead me to PokerStrategy. August this year I opened an account at PokerStrategy, recieved a starting capital at PokerStars, read some articles, watched some videos and headed to NL10 tables to play some SSS.
As it happened with 80%+ with all starting online poker without their own money, doom was my destiny :f_biggrin:. After 4-tabling NL10 for some days, my BR was at 30$. I did try to follow BRM, but at NL2 and NL5 I couldn't buy-in for 20bb, so I stayed at NL10 and lost the rest.
Deposited 100$ to give it another try, but this time at SnG. I did play something around 50 1+0.2$ SnGs, with a RoI of 9%+, so I thought I was great. Continued to play 1.2$ SnGs, and after another 50 my overall RoI was around -15% ♠_o:.
Decided to give DoNs a try. When I was done playing around 450 1.1$ turbo DoNs, my RoI was about 0.7%, meaning I spent about 45$ in rake, something like 40 hours playing, to make less then 5$ :f_confused:.
Finally light shed upon my poker career and I was decided. NL BSS and later on some MTTs are the way to go!
Started at NL2 with my 70$ remaining, and this last saturday I moved up to NL5 with a BR of 222$. Was crushing NL2 with 29.8 bb/100 over 24k hands (I don't know if I should thank those fishes calling a 250bb shove with Q8o while I had AA ♠_biggrin:, even though they quite usually did suckout on me
). I just hope the opponent's playing skills goes up, because although I get paid off at micro limits, I'd say the variance is much higher with those non-thinking-money-depositing-fishes not respecting a raise, a 3bet, a 4bet, a shove, or anything else at all.
Poker Lifetime Summary:
50$ -> NL10 SSS -> 0$ -> Deposit -> 100$ -> 1+0.20$ SnGs -> 65$ -> 1+0.10$ DoNs -> 70$ -> NL2 BSS -> 222$ -> NL5 BSS -> 239$
PS:
I didn't make this post in the portuguese community forum because it's not as active as this one.
And neither on the german one, because I still hate writing in german. (Probably because there would be countless mistakes in my blog)
In the next post I'm going to write about my future plans/goals/decisions.
And thanks to all that read until here, I hope you keep reading the blog and give some input/feedback/tips/opinions. ♠_love:
