As played - his donk looks really ugly. Would probably fold without specific reads.

i agree

easy raise for me preflop. but i would raise a bit more.
without reads about his postflop play i think you can fold it (with 1 player behind) because the board is very dry and a J is quite likely

Definitely check preflop. I would raise JJ+ (when it comes to pocketpairs) only here. As played on the flop I would call his bet and see what he does on the turn.

Why do I check preflop: we are OOP with what is often the best hand preflop. However if we bloat the pot from OOP we get into many marginal situations postflop where we are playing a larger pot from OOP. While it is important to get value from our hand in poker in general, it is more important to preserve our chips in the early stages of a SNG.

ok:
first of all there are already 150 chips in the pot which is quite something and i would love to take them down preflop (as you already mentioned we will be oop postflop).
furthermore i don´t want to play against two. there is a good chance that overcards will come and then i would like to play on against only one player. maybe both will fold. additionally we will play hu and in postion if we get MP2 to fold. this would be awesome obviously... if both players call this wouldn´t be the greatest result ever but at least we can cut down their setvalue and don´t give them a cheap flop if they limped hands with one overcard to our pair like A8, K9 etc. or even two overs like QJ.
furthermore i think we would give up way too many pots. if we raise, get one caller and the flop comes down like K72 and it goes check -> contibet -> raise or just contibet -> raise we have an quite easy fold because i can´t see them moving very often but in a limped pot they could easily play their weaker pockets like 88, 99 or even hands like A7 aggressively and we will fold despite having them crushed.

as i said: there are different palying styles but i´m 100% sure that a "discussion" like that is way more helpful to anybody than "definately check preflop" or "easy raise preflop"

btw: i can understand your reasoning and i stopped raising 99 in spots like that most of the time because of the facts you mentioned but TT is too strong imo. it´s true that our primary target is too preserve chips but i think that our equity edge (here comes the fl player ^^) is just too big, and our playability just imroves too much if we can kick a player + we have FE preflop. same goes for AQo btw.

I check it preflop, frzl is making a lot of sence though. I raise JJ here PF, it makes sence to raise TT aswell and get into a headsup pot against the fish with a good hand.

There's definatly some discussion value, I think both plays are good. On higher limits I prefer raising, on fishy loose-passive limits I think checking is slightly better.

pre I don't mind raising or checking, but if I rasie pre I make it bigger (225-250), cause I don't wanna play OOP, I personlay would raise it, but there is no right or wrong here.

Post I would need some reads on the guy to know what to do, against unknown I would call and give up on the turn if he bets big again, but I see these donks with small pockets quite often, cause they wanna see if they are good.
