the only hand you beat is 98 now. So it's either check/call or check/fold. Against a bet and raise you have an easy fold. Against a bet and call or fold it's closer. these kind of opponents may indeed bluffbet here often enough so I tend to call.

I just see that 98 might not be in his preflop raising range. The good thing is that most tens aren't as well.

This range is not realistic but with only 1 98 combination you already have the equity to call here so I stay with the call for now.

What about 7s or 4s? Also how often is UTG actually bluff betting his 98?

I know you said the range wasn't realistic but I can see UTG having a really wide range of gutshots/oesd, Aces & every pair but BTN is probably on a T.

I wouldn't feel bad about a c/f tbh but maybe this lineup is goofy enough for a c/c facing 1 bet against 1 player, i.e. I'd be more inclined to call if it goes check-bet-fold-action to you than check-bet-call-action to you.

Hmm I think 77 or 44 will give us more action.

It's true that a call of UTG may indicate an ae sometimes but it can be a 7 or 4 as well and the pot is 1 BB bigger so I call in both cases.

The problem here is that we are almost alway beat but we get 15:1 which is a lot and BTN seems to be very unreasonable. :/
