I'd call this because i think if he had AK, KQ or KK+ he's rather c/calling to keep you bluffing.
This looks like he's trying to win the pot vs JJ or QQ with something like TT or 99, maybe even AQ.

Good, exactly my thoughts 
He was holding AK though, I was kinda surprised seeing that hand after I called.
