A little known fact about true maniacs. Maniacs love to raise it up and try to make everyone fold, when they go into calling station mode often it's because they have a monster and don't want their opponents folding any more.
That said you have to try and pick up the pot on the flop, there are no draws out there so a Cbet will have a lot of success here typically. You make a bet on the turn because you realise if you check, your opponent will bet 100% of rivers which puts you in a tough spot a lot of the time.
Maybe if the guy is a true maniac the best thing to do would be to call all his bets when you have marginal hands like this and just bet your stronger hands. I don't think you have to worry too much about polarising your range so long as you only do it vs this guy. A real maniac wont be paying too much attention to what you are doing.

Just wondering if turn is b/c. There aren´t really not too many hands that we´re happy to get all-in if we bet turn, so I think check behind can be also reasonable and then check it down or call likely most river cards

Personally, when dealing with a maniac, no 3 bet, no bluffing, passive lines are best until you get a strong hand. I agree checking behind the turn works just as well. A lot of maniacs aren't really this way though, they're aware of when people are nitting it up against them often. ♠_biggrin:
