Well I say spiting, but in fact I consider MY calls correct at least. I called twice against this regular who as it happens I have reviewed hand histories for LMAO, and he called once against me and to be fair HIS call was the least +ev of all of them.
First one. Here he has to be over 68%. I know I'm atc in his spot but knowing the bb is a reg on the short stack I might tighten up a bit. But saying that, with him being a reg I know he should also be careful with what he calls with. It is +ev for bb to call with QTs v a 100% but also but if he thinks I'll call with 30% (roughly a QTs range) then he has to toghten up to shoving only 40%, which would then make my call horrific. So it's hard to tell exactly if he tightens up or not. Best way to find out is to call. Which I obviously wouldn't do if I wasn't shorty. Also, stats I have on him 4-6 handed are too aggressive, 40/31 over 80 hands with nearly 50% from the button. So now he is CL he is easily wider than 50%, close enough for QTs imo. Unfortunately he actually has a hand!

Two hands later blinds are up to 300/600 and I can safely shove atc unles bb calls wider than 44/A5s/A8o/KJs. Difference here is he is 2nd in chips! Despite that, however, his A9s is a call if I'm over 75%, so his call is ok. But I would fold here every time in his shoes. Also, I am certain here he made a spite call and wasn't even aware that he made a +ev call.

So, shafted once again, this is two hands later. He should indeed be on atc once again and I can call if he's over 65%. now although I'm also the one 2nd in chips and said I would fold as 2nd in chips in the last hand, he was 500 chips ahead of both those guys and I am virtually even. But he's got a frickin hand AGAIN!! Grrr.

So a very interesting spot I feel and for my CALLING hands I may well have been better off just saying to myself, well the other shorties are randoms so let's get busy with them instead of the reg. But after his A9s call I kinda decided to re-spite him ♦
