Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Elephant.Base 0.96 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is UTG1 with J♦, J♣
Hero raises to $0.16, 6 folds, SB calls $0.14, BB folds.

Flop: ($0.36) A♥, 7♦, 2♥ (2 players)
SB bets $0.2, Hero calls $0.20.

Turn: ($0.76) A♦ (2 players)
SB bets $0.45, Hero calls $0.45.

River: ($1.66) 9♣ (2 players)
SB bets $1, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $2.66

Flop: Could be an ace but not that likely I don't think. Maybe a draw or pocket pair, which I'm probably ahead of.

Turn: I think an ace is even less likely here as I would expect him to bet bigger for protection here as I could have a FD. I thought he might have 7x, 88-TT.

River: Now when he bet again I really wasn't sure, he bet biggish and the way I played my hand looks like a draw. So I guess he's either got complete air here on the river hoping to make me fold or I can't really see what he could be value betting on the river here..

I think maybe 88-TT and now on the river 99 has a FH, but maybe still call? :/

Thanks

Hello Jeffers16,

For the reason that he is pretty unknown I'd just give him respect for the 1st time and fold it on flop and take an eye on him. Otherwise Calling turn and then giving up on river doesn't make sense, either fold it on turn or Call both streets.

Best regards.
