Hero bets $0.95, MP raises to $2.80, Hero raises to $7.72, MP raises to $12.85, Hero calls $5.13

Turn: ($27.60) 4 :spade: (2 players)

River: ($27.60) 4 :diamond: (2 players)

Very fishy opponent, any chance I should fold?

Can you please explain your line? Why are we 3-betting the flop? Do we expect villain to bluff shove us for very little or call with worse?

I'm assuming in this hand you expect villain to be bluffing you on this flop (afterall he is aggro and the board is very dry so he can't rep much). If that's the case I like two options:

A) call flop and call him down (given that the board doesn't run terrible)
B) min raise the flop to give him room to think he has FE equity when he shoves


if you had AA that spot I don´t mind calldown but with 88 so many overcards may come that would improve his hand, so likely I´d also get all-in on the flop
I´d likely make it 6$ to give him more option to bluffshove for air, but if you think he is going anyway hands that he is raising, like 5x or 66, then larger 3-bet is also fine
