Hey guys i have just been looking at some MTTs and i have noticed that some turneys have the same dolar amount buyin but a vast diference in prize money .
example : a 6 dolar mtt, one has 2k gtd prize and another has 10k gtd prize
Whats the deal with that , and how should i choose which tournaments to play?
they make these tourneys using a economical optimized system. They use 10k when they know enough people will play it to make the pricepool exceed the guaranteed price. Simple:
the higher the price in relation to the buy in, the more players will play the tourney.
the higher the price in relation to the buy in, the more fishes will play the tourney.
Yes. Rebuys also usually have much bigger prize pools in relation to the initial buyin because they know they will get 2-3 times the starting buyins from rebuys.
