To me it appears that I get punished when I play bad, yet my opponents get rewarded for their bad play. Just how I feel at this point.

You are absolutely correct.
Of course, the majority of the time the reverse will be true, if in fact you are playing well, and your opponents are playing badly.
Results = Quality of your play +/- quality of your opponents play +/- variance - rake.
I'm kind of certain that your equation doesn't actually make sense, i'm quite sure its hard to make sense of by looking at it... but at least the thought is there.
I'd probably word it a bit differently.
To me it's the complete opposite lol. I get punished/raped when I play solid poker which is very frustrating. And I often get lucky when I play lol_bad. You see that puts me in a very bad spot really.;p
