right now, im on the verge of quitting online poker completely....i still enjoy live games but ive grown increasingly hostile towards online. i keep playing pretty solid, the odd minor mistake but nothing serious and just keep running bad. constantly losing to 3 outers, cant win a flip.....have morons shipping in 100bbs with a10 on a kj3 board with me holding kk and getting rivered. i keep telling myself to just keep playing good but it seems like my lukc just refuses to turn around and im getting totally fed up. been like this for months now. someone give me some positive advice before i throw the head up and quit!

Stand off for a couple months mate ... Been there

hopefully your luck will change

Had the same thought when I was running bad for over a month. I just couldnt take the bad beats anymore. I started thinking the software might be rigged. I was keeping stats of every all in I have been in, the percentages and it didnt make sense. Must have been rigged...(in my mind it was). Anyways I completely stopped playing turbo Sit and Goes where all ins happen waaay too often, started playing regular tourneys and heads up. Cant complain, winning since I made the decision

My advice would be play a differnt type of poker PLO, PLO Hi Lo, 5 card draw ect ect

In holdem you can run bad for a long time sometimes, so maybe take a break from holdem for a while

Never !

Anyway, as already stated try moving to a game with lower varience, like limit holdem, or limit omaha.

At the end of the day losing and bad beats are part of poker - if you can't accept that then maybe it's not the game for you ?

As long as you keep making +EV decisions, keep playing. It will only take a bigger sample for the graph to go up again.

And yeah, pick lower variance games, i.e. switch from turbo to normal if you play SNG/MTT.

How is what I posted being a troll?

Lol, guys. I usually enjoy trolling very much and I constantly try to improve my trolling skills to maybe one day be the troll to rule them all, but this time I'm serious.

Limit poker has higher variance.

Duh.. you weren't trolling, but some other guys were, and that was unimpressive, that's all I wanted to say. You were giving normal advice to OP, and that's good. So my point basically is - if you troll, do it like a boss.

I like trolling myself, therefore I wish fuzzyfish good luck. Trolling is a art, you know.

And yes, limit poker has way higher variance that NL or PL.
