Hi!
I've seen players be "all in" but they all still have chips left in their stacks. What's that and how do u do it? Players card are shown and it's just like an ordinary all in.

Are you talking about live or online poker?

if they are only called by a smaller stack some sites show them as being all in but also show that they have chips behind because they outchip the caller.

I've seen it in tourneys. If CAP games are what I think it's not that or they outchip others.

non-all in all in. its a pro move, especially in STTs

Hi ZeroDegrees,

As LongPlay has already mentioned, it depends on how the platform choose to show it.

Some poker rooms show everyone as all-in but with any excess chips in a side pot, others return any excess directly back to the larger stack prior to dealing the remaining cards. Don't worry though, the result is always the same.

There are no special buttons to press, you would just either call for all your chips or re-raise all your remaining chips depending on whether you have more or less chips than someone already in. You just use the standard call or raise buttons.

Best regards,

Bart

If it's online in ring games, it could be one of the players is disconnected and have the disconnect protection...?
That way, they are classed as all-in with whatever chips they have in the pot and cannot be folded out due to disconnection.
I don't know, you may have seen that?

OK, I'm starting to suspect I saw wrong and 1 player outchipped the others.

Thx and GL!

I remember when i first started playing poker and played DON's. If i had AA i would raise all in preflop and leave one chip behind HAHA
