I am willing to apply to a stake on pokerstars. At the moment I only deposited on FTP
Question is: can somebody transfer me funds if I haven't made my first deposit yet? Of course viceversa applies... Can I send him back the winnings after that?

Yes someone could transfer you money on stars even if you have not deposited and yes you can also transfer money.
problems arise when you try to withdraw money without first making a deposit/.

I've never made a deposit and have received money, so yes confirmed from experience that it works.

They have transfer limits so it's best you think of another way.

You can transfer to and from but like Emanuel said, there is transfer limits. You can request them to be lifted.
Speak with pokerstars about the issue to see what your limits are.
