I was waiting for the blinds to come to me to leave the table when I get AKo UTG. I make the standard raise to 4BB and get a reraise to 7BB.
What to do in this situation. Note that my stack is bigger than the standard SSS stack with 28.5 BB meaning the odds for the plays change a bit.
I won the hand but it's more important if I played it right.
I don't think folding was really an option here pre-flop was it? And I don't think the push would be right either as I'd be a bit back against most of the range he's on and way back vs KK or AA. I think his range was something like 77+ AJs+ AQo+.
How would you play it, what would be the "perfect" play here?
