He must have been afraid of the flush. You see that a lot. I also suffered from this in the beginning. But the chance that you hold two hearts is only 6% or something, so he would gain much more by raising the river in this situation despite the occasional extra pay-off to the flush.

Frzl, you always say "don't fear the worst", that's helped me a lot sofar.
