[Closed] nl2 - Overpair...

Played this fairly horribly I reckon.

Decided to play check/call on the flop as I felt he may C bet overcards that have missed the flop.

Problems built on turn where not much had changed, but I was worried I was likely to be up against a better overpair due to the line taken.

Figure the best play would have been to bet/fold straight on the flop. I was scared to bet as I didn't want to build the pot against a better overpair, but in hindsight it would have cost me a fair bit less.

Hello Philfox1985,

Preflop: What's the reason for Calling the 3bet? Rather against more tighter player I'd just lay it down.

As played
Postflop: Don't think that you beat much on turn anymore. Check/Calling the flop is fine although I don't really see him 2nd barreling there with pure air.
