haha we don't eat alligators, we have the option to eat crocodiles and it tastes like chicken (it really does taste like chicken) but slightly tougher with a fishy texture. it is not a common dish though, you won't find it in many places. same with emu.
kangaroo is more common though. that meat is very nice

meh - we may be the only nations that eats BOTH of the animals on the national emblem, but eating kangaroo, emu, crocodile is hardly common. You can't buy any of these at most grocery stores or butchers. You need go to a specalist butcher and even then probably have to order in advance.

kangaroo is more commonly available. also that photo is too cute to make a meal out of! but when it grows up it won't be as cute...poor thing =(

I think they are very cute animals. Pretty big in terms of other animals, I agree with that.
