Perhaps some of you with a psychology background can help explaining this.
Why is it that we poker players remember our bad beats way better than our suckouts? And why do they affect us more emotionally?
When I suck out, I might grin for a bit, but after just a few seconds, I'm back to my normal mood. But if I get sucked out on, I get angry (in varying degrees) and might sometime tilt off my money. And I think it's pretty safe to assume that this is the case for every poker player.
But why?
