[Closed] AKs in MP face 3bet from SB

Hello totalfish,

Preflop: What's the reason for Calling here? I am not really a huge fan whiel you even didn't mention his 3bet. The problem is that if he has rather stronger hand then at the best it might be a flip and even if we do hit we just wont know where we stand or other ways we wont get paid.

Postflop: Don't think that there is much to do. But what kind of hand do you expect to 2nd barrel there which you beat? Lets just say there wasn't the 6:c.

hey veriz, been having the same problem; with a tight villain is this a fold pre then? to me 4 betting seems like a poor decisions as its basically turning our hand into a bluff; if villain calls 4 bet or shoves we are best case flipping against queens or jacks; also if villain just calls the 4 bet what do we do on the flop when we miss?

Against tight opponent I would rather prefer folding. Since we anyways get a coinflip, ain't it? Even if we hit our K we just wont know where we stand and might even not get paid by worse pairs. That's the problem with AK.

There are some good things, why I might even sometimes consider calling: that we are a bit deeper, we have the position and also he doesn't make the 3bet that huge.
