I had a distinct impression here that villain would bet the river, so I checked it. Is this a clear value bet in general?

Hi!

Bet! Sure you prevent from ugly raise but is not the reason that its a better line.
And yes,you gain practicly same form Ax since he will vbet it(well sometimes they wont) but all other made hand(and there are many, practicly his entire range) will check back and you loose that precious 1BB.

Also you cant really induce when no draw is left busted.

So just bet, player is bad anyway and will call you very wide in spot like this. When raised it sucks but against unknown I cant fold(he can steel have worse Ax which he idioticly slowplayed or maybe club draw...). When I get an impression that he is passive or at least straightforward I totally dont mind b/f river.
