here willain didn't have full stack and after his small 3bet i didn't think I can fold, with a call I would be pretty pot commited anyways, so I decided to shove to avoid hard post flop decisions... was it right approach?

I think this is perfectly fine. Once you decide to 3-bet you are happy to get it in.

Getting AK in preflop is never a big mistake, and is very good if you are playing vs a shortstack.

As you 3bet there against that kind of stack there is no way you can fold your hand. Nice hand and I am also going broke vs his stack.
