Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy.com Elephant 0.102 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 9♠, 9♦
Hero raises to $0.18, 2 folds, SB calls $0.15, BB folds.

Flop: ($0.41) Q♦, T♣, 4♠ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($0.41) 3♠ (2 players)
SB bets $0.2, Hero calls $0.20.

River: ($0.81) 6♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: $0.81

Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows (9s 9d)
SB shows a pair of jacks (Jd Jc)

SB wins with a pair of jacks (Jd Jc)

Should i have bet the flop instead of giving up on my hand like i did? If i fired second barrel would he likely give up pocket jacks?

Hello delanonunes,

Yes, you should rather CB the flop than Call it on turn as you did. With CBetting the flop you at least protect from draws/overcards.

Best Regards.
